In what game do you see as many pro women as in Valorant? We have popular streamers, players, and many female enjoyers of the game which is great compared to other games, especially TAC FPS. IMO this is bc of GC and how RIOT has encouraged and supported people other than men which does not happen often in gaming especially TAC FPS. You nerds who are hating on GC or wanting a new league for people who are trans are the same douches that would prefer only playing with guys and probably dodge Q's like JasonR.

You may believe that trans women are not women which is pretty dense since even in Roman times they where numerous accounts of gay and trans people (and guess what, in Sparta, where the most badass mf's lived and trained, had the highest rates of gay and trans people). Believe it or not do some research and you will see this is true. Stop giving a fuck about other people and focus on urself.

their best teams would not survive against some of tier1 male's worst teams, which is true for many esports not just valorant

Gc is good for the system it has brought good viewership and has led other games to also include gc/impact/female oriented leagues

There are FAR fewer women pro players, smaller sample size, smaller talent pool

The GC players themselves know it best, my take on the issue as a viewer is

The lack of investment on riots part, is hurting GC so much. One international event a year infront of a tiny crowd with incredibly limited spots.

They are helping perpetuate an environment that is already not friendly to women looking to join the scene.

There is a significant percentile of the fan base that is outright misogynistic and sexist (this unfortunately will likely never change)
There is literally such a lack of opportunity for them to make their name in the leagues.it’s legit t3 tournaments and gc tournaments that are usually dominated by 2-3 gc super teams
objectively worse quality of tournament. It’s not lan, there’s no crowd etc etc. why watch GC when there’s vct Americas? Which is obviously no fault of their own

Maybe if riot pumped more of the absurd amount of money they had into GC it would be more successful.

More then one international event a year, and maybe make the regional GCs, have a lan playoffs

Host a GC masters somewhere in the US, either a big west or east coast city, with an actual crowd and not just 8 teams. That would be hype asf and would encourage viewership, and more players to join the scene.

i read somewhere that riot wanted women/trans to compete with men and prove that they can do it without a quota. also, riot wont be investing too much in gc bcoz of this exact same reason. gc is like saying "eh u are not cis-male, u need a special tournament to perform and shine'. riot doesnt want that to happen and gc is just to encourage them to play in the main circuit

Encourages ascension teams to pick up GC talent ->

That’s how i see it, GC won’t magically encourage women to play in the main circuit.

It needs an actually good system and actual investment to do so

So my opinion is that they cant compete cause for example T3 male teams can easily beat best of gc teams so if one of those players plays in the gc league and identifies as trans then he will own the league fr

Most of the best GC players have been competing for a very short amount of time. Florescent has been playing for a year, shes not even close to being done developing as a player. There's less women players, which means less talent. GC teams also often get less resources, the best coaches arent coaching GC teams and you're lucky to have an analyst.

That along with the fact the esports ecosystem is historically not really a place that fosters women. Think about the 2016 CSGO community, so fucking sexist its insane. Women for a long time simply didn't want to play tac shooters. Places like the FGC (Fighting Game Community) have had multiple cis women play at a high level because they grew up a long time ago.
