Why everyone is talking about EMEA 1 team region when I don't remember anyone saying NA was trash because they had only optic?

Like legit EMEA has some players that can rival their FNATIC counterpart for some positions,

Like sentinel: Alfa is better than nAts/suygetsu but it's close
Duelist: sayf might be as good as Derke, and so on, while throughout all 2022 OpTic had clearly every best NA player for each position and by FAR (only exception might be Victor/Zekken).

And also since 2021 only 2 NA teams won a title but 4 from EMEA? What's the one team region like be for real

this yr is clearly different, emea CURRENTLY only has one team that is by far the best, both itw and from their region, while the rest of their teams are struggling. thats why they r a one team region. americas, or NA in this scenario, showed that they have more than one team capable of becoming the best and both put up great results to prove that. doesn’t mean that things cant change before the end of this yr though :>

agreed every region had a super team that was a one team region, SEN was miles above anyone = one team region. the only era of the game that wasn’t a one team region was acend champs, because emea was just ahead at the time.

I think franchising just pushed the agenda tbh, especially since we saw the worst EMEA teams play NA teams in lock//in, where we never would have seen that before.

I do agree w you tho, I j think it’s more tangible now than ever because of the circumstances

True. imo it's not a player quality problem from a mechanical perspective. I'm hopeful by next season the EMEA teams will overcome many of their reorganization issues and it will be more competitive. And redgar will stop inting and TL will win one finally.

You should compare EMEA with the Americas, or EU vs NA.
It makes no sense when you compare a whole region (EMEA) with one country (NA).

When you do the right comparison, it is clear that the Americas is superior to EMEA in terms of competitiveness.

Literally no difference. Except for the fact we haven't won anything unlike EMEA. The more we cope, the less we need to improve and actually reach them. If you can't even admit your opponent is better, you are never gonna want to improve beyond his level.

All they can do is create dumbass narratives to cope. Instead of admitting that an EMEA team is literally dogging on them so hard, they want to steer the conversation towards EMEA having (a tad less) placements than them.
