I mean they originally lost the VK game, but after that went through Envy, Team Secret, Liquid and Gambit. So not super easy. Team Secret was one of the weakest in playoffs and Liquid didn't look as good in semis, so you could argue it was bit easier as some of the others. But I don't really see how any other team would have eliminated them outside of Liquid and Gambit.

it was a tournament full of new teams, champs 2021 is inherently harder because teams were established, fnatic didn't replace someone as influential as sacy and the FPX win was nice but don't really rate cned in 2023. In short fnatic practiced for a few months before everyone else at a tournament full of new teams and roster changes. Cuan and Tuyz had never been on a stage that big

much easier win than champs 2021 which was two actual superteams

Gambit was the best team itw in 2021, but Acend was the best team in EMEA. Champs 2021 was a glorified EMEA challengers playoffs, so Acend won.

I supported acend throughout champs cause it was the first valorant lan I watched, my friends supported gambit cause they beat kru, you can't imagine my joy when they beat gmb, sure, they were "chokers" but at the same time, they earned that trophy with those performances.
