How tf does both alfa and boaster have the same rating despite alfa dropping 19 and boaster dropping 9?
TLDR
Player rating is a linear combination of five components:
C1KillContribution + C2DeathContribution + C3APR + C4ADRa + C5SurvivalRating
Basically Alfajer killed more but Boaster kills were more impactful, had 10 more assists, less FD, less deaths overall which leads to a better economic impact etc
okay quickly read allat, alfa probably had a lot of exit frag typa kills, so they were deemed not impactful. According to the rating system, kills during 5v5 hold more weight than 1v4 or something where the player still loses, so getting those 2 extra kills have no impact according to vlr rating. Hope this clears it up.
Some advanced stats:
6 of alfajer's kills were immediately traded by the enemy vs 0 for boaster
2 of boasters deaths were traded by his teammates vs 0 for alfajer
8 of alfajer's kills were with a large player differential (2+) vs 3 for boaster
10 fewer assists is a significant difference for a single map
The adjusted ADR actually favors boaster who did more non-killing damage.
The effects of boaster surviving 3 extra rounds, and the first kill/death differential aren't very important here. The major difference was the fight weighting from trades/when deaths occurred/assists.
