have mutually parted ways, the player and organization have both announced. The announcements end shanks' three-month tenure with NRG.

"I love everyone who is apart of this org and gave me the chance to play," shanks said in a statement on Twitter. "I had fun but this just really was not the right fit for me."
Shanks has stated he intends to return to streaming and remains open to joining a new team, given the right fit and opportunity. The Canadian has notably been banned from Twitch for the past month and a half, for seemingly unknown reasons.
The NRG roster has been in flux since the organization entered the Valorant scene in October of 2020, having signed seven players across five months. The core roster has seen steady improvement, reaching the main event of Stage 1's Challengers 1 and 3, and notably edging out 100 Thieves in the latter event.
