Don't get me wrong, his in game leading has been awful, but fuck with all the hate he is getting and his disappointed face after the game it is so disheartening. He is only human and the community needs to treat players better imo.

Banter about the game is fine, but some people were even shit talking his wife which is fucking crazy to me

not really, he got the bag and he has to show performance. criticizing his performance is okay, but harassing him and his family are not.
We are not angry that Dephh can't perform, we are angry that he is kept in a position where he needs to perform but falls short. He's getting paid nicely by SEN, which profits off their fans, hence the fans have a certain right to demand performance. I don't condone the explicit hate, but any criticism of gameplay should be allowed.
I don't think anyone's saying he isn't deserving of criticism, he's objectively been performing badly this split. A large amount of the "criticism" leveled at him isn't even about his gameplay tho, it's gotten to the point where it seems like a lot of people are hating on him just to be with the popular opinion.

him publicly accusing optic of using tech pauses to cheat, then doubling down on it by saying that they did cheat, but that he reported it to the wrong people

definitely feel bad for him. criticizing him for his decisions in game is fine but theres a lot of people who just shit on him and the best reason they can give is "his stats are bad"
a lot of it probably comes from their orgs twitter presence which is focused on shit talking other teams which leads to the players getting shit on after they lose even tho players dont seem to have the same attitude
i´ve never personally attacked him, i only talk about his in-game performance but some people needs to chill out tbf
