Seems a little but unfair to Liquid that they have to play against NAVI in a big game when Fnatic vs KOI got completely cancelled

I get Fnatic had 2-3 players sick but why not just reschedule the game and let Liquid have a chance

maybe im wrong just want thoughts

sayf sick, he won't play the next game for liquid vs Navi. pugboy asking if fnatic match got delayed at the start of the season when multiple of their players were sick, why isn't it the same case with sayf n liquid?

Sayf is the only one sick. Fnc had more than 1 member sick and they shouldn't field more subs. That's why the match got rescheduled

Not a fan but i think its cause riot expects every team to have one sub as they ruled at the beginning of franchising. If multiple players are sick its a different story

Riot should have LAN isolation rooms ready for sick players who can play.. COVID didn't go away, so why did the preparation for it go away? Their rules are currently inconsistent because of this. If you can't field a full team for a scheduled match, normally, that means you get disqualified. FNC definitely got special treatment. And it's obvious if this happens to other teams, it'll look really awkward if they don't extend the same grace to that team. Which is why Riot needs to be better prepared (and teams need to have real subs).

Kinda crazy to be having visa issues for your official sub when it's 6 weeks into competition season right? TL basically didn't have a real 6th/sub this whole time and didn't figure their stuff out until shit hit the fan. They deserve the loss for trying to skirt the rules (and all the other teams who are participating in the assistant coach meta too).

I'm not really sure what's really going on with the team. I actually thought Dimasick had left since VLR says so and he's been inactive from all platforms since Champions but Liquipedia does list him as the only sub in the team.

Not sure about the rules either, I don't believe teams can add subs after roster lock but I don't know if there's a rule about other players in the org subbing in even if they're not officially in the team.

dimasick is in the global database, he actively streams, he still has liquid in his ign the last time i saw (idk about now) and is the official 6th since the roster announcement. idk about his contract but unlike other liquid streamers/players, he doesnt have liquid ads on his stream. idk when it was added but the day before i already saw harmii was added in the database, so i thought it was done before roster lock.

Harmii could've been added on an emergency basis. Since he's already a Team Liquid streamer, Riot probably allowed him to be a sub since he's already contracted w/ the org.
