In these hard economic times, can I catch a goose?

In these hard economic times, can I catch a goose from the park without getting in trouble or nah?

Before you call me a monster, the local park is full of Canadian Geese and I hear people all the time complaining about them saying they're a pest, that the council should cull them, etc etc etc.

Well I ain't picky and one of those bad boys would feed the family on goose sammies for an entire week!

Does anyone know what the rules are around these things? Can I like go down with a net and bag myself one up for a feed?

I can just imagine a local Karen with her poncy lil' pooch getting all offended by 'this barbarian' and calling the cops on me... but I'm just talking about a net and my own bare hands.

What do you reckon? yeah or nah?
