JP competitive scene's problem

1.national top player > international bottom player
They choose to receive the warm support of their fans on the domestic scene rather than compete on the international scene. (Nth Blackwiz also advised xnfri to stay with Nth for the first year and wait to be approached by international league teams.)
https://youtu.be/PZsYBDYkzCI

2.Less third-party sponsored tournaments
They have stopped participating in third-party sponsored tournaments for fear of losing. As a result, the number of third-party sponsored competitions has decreased. And now they complain that there are not enough competitions. It is their own fault.

They're not true egoists. Just in it for the money and security. Someone who aspires to be the best in the game should not have mentality like blackwiz. Pros should want to play in tier 1/highest level and be proud of it.

That's why EMEA and AMERICAS are better and the only leagues with International trophies because the mentality is "strive to becoming the best" instead of typical "hope for the best" mentality.

True bro. Valorant just got fully approved in China 4 months ago (December 22). I just hope that we're not too far behind in meta and basics 😕

It's understandable tbh. You gotta think about xnfri and reita and all the Japanese players in dfm doing that bad and still receiving extremely positive overwhelming messages while knowing yourself how desperate your situation is and that it's not going to be better soon. Specially with how popular valorant is in Japan, it's gotta shitty knowing you've let down 100 thousands of people. The pressure of taking that responsibility, I can't even begin imagine that.

Nah, if I was to pass up on franchising I would br deeply ashamed tbh.

I would be ashamed of the fact that i passed up on the opportunity to try elevate the status if the region and let players worse than me represent the country because I didn't want accountability.

As for the former, it proves that the salaries and treatment of Japanese professional teams are excellent. Not a bad thing.

Your opinion is partly wrong.

・CR players can make more money than DFM players through streaming. And they can live as a streamer after retiring.
Other team's players will be well rewarded if they are active on the domestic scene.
Would you still choose to go DFM?

In the case of BlackWiz, he loves the team NTH very much. He is solid player and I think DFM should pick up him, but he was not invited by the team and now wants to go to Pacific League as NTH.

・There is literaly no third-party tournaments.
During 2022 off-season, there is no competitive tournaments operated by JP third-party.
I know some regular competitions (AIM Cup and Xross Cup) , but the prize money is only 40$ and most of the staff are volunteers.
Unfortunately, there is no possibility for many tier 1 professional teams to participate in such competitions.

Yall should really hire NA & EU coaches to be honest. JP players have aim but your teams still lose be because of terrible execution and decision making on most rounds. I think NA & EU coaches can fix that

I agree with you. Fennel hired Johnta from EMEA and won Split1 Challengers JP.

I now understand why Japanese professional players are so weak. LOL

I'm honestly frustrated too and I want my players to be hungry. But I don't know if that will make the players happy.

As for DFM, the coaches are to blame. They did't pick up controller main player and continue changing roles during the season.

Twistzz once said that VALORANT professionals are in the game for the money, not for the win. Perfectly correct.
