Oh my, this guy is a genius. So all strats are coming from him right? He's mad that Syyko is the "head coach" and earns more than him. So Kaplan, as he clench his hands and teeth, while tears in eyes, came up with an evil plan to kick him out of the position, he sabotaged the team.
He purposely made bad decisions like this weird role switch. Syyko gets blamed and fired. Kaplan becomes the head coach, all according to plan. Such a genius play by him. Syyko got outplayed by Kaplan's genius plan. I wouldn't be surprise if Kaplan came up with this plan with Chet.
