Surely we are convinced now that they are better than EG and 100t, no?
I've always loved the Guard bro, idk why tf you think I'm just now jumping on their train, and I literally bought M80 merch the moment the store opened. Assumptions make asses out of you and me both bucko. I'm just pissed that NA teams tried to get clever with it and pick up talent from other regions instead of just using legit fucking NA talent. So many good players in our region and we have to go fuck off to Brazil and EMEA.
I still love NRG, they're a great team. I will never stop cheering for my GOAT IGL FNS. But look at fucking G2 LFT Oxy. There's great players in NA that could have fit in onto NRG if they were willing to do a little bit of scouting instead of just jumping for a big EMEA name. I get the impulse, but if we were going to fucking lose anyway we might as well have lost with our own talent instead of EMEA and Brazil players.
oxy is either at the top or bottom of the leaderboard, more inconsistent than tenz. please do not argue that OXY deserves to be on a franchised team.
can oxy play sentinel? can oxy play viper? or kayo? has oxy WON ANYTHING? no he cannot and has not which is why ardiis is on nrg. despite the hate he gets, ardiis did win MASTERS COPENHAGEN, what has oxy done? hasnt even won in vcl yet. why are we overhyping T2 players that just joined the scene this year?
the few players that ARGUABLY deserve franchise in T2 would be all of TGRD (minus tex as of now), most of M80 (debatable), dapr & shahzam (debatable even), and yay. NOBODY ELSE has proved themselves, in vcl even, to deserve a franchise spot.
dude, can you read my comment and use your reading comprehension? Like, actually look at what I said, and see if I said at any point that Oxy deserves to be in franchising? You made up a strawman argument, and then tried to fight that instead of actually replying to what I said. Oxy isn't good enough to be in franchising. He needs way more experience and coaching. But he's getting there, every game. Look at Runi and jakee, two t3 players who are good enough to play in t1 with a little coaching and a lot of scouting. Oxy doesn't deserve to be in franchising yet, but as I said, there are great players in NA who could have fit onto NRG way more easily than ardiis. Victor could have played full duelist (he has a pretty good Jett) and we could have gotten JonahP, eeiu or Nismo on flex. Instead we went to a different region, for a player that doesn't even exactly fit the roles NRG needs. It's ridiculous. NA has enough talent, we can MAKE champions, we don't need to buy them from other regions. No hate on ardiis, he's a great player. I love the guy, I love his personality. He's hilarious and cracked. But if we were going to fucking lose anyway, and there were going to be role problems ANYWAY, just do it with fucking NA players! I'm sorry, that's just my fucking opinion. mCe literally took two t3 players and got them good enough to compete against Loud in a month! It's not that hard to just find good NA players.
no I DIDNT. I said LOOK at Oxy. As an example of a great player in NA. specifically, in the context of him, one who is a complete rookie but has gotten better and better with each game. I NEVER said he would be in NRG. I just used him as an example of how NA has a lot of talent! Use your brain and fucking read my words!
“look at G2 LFT OXY” followed IMMEDIATELY by: “theres great players in NA that could fit into NRG if they tried some scouting”
please tell me how else i am supposed to interpret this.
let me answer your confusion. jakee and runi are great players. are they masters winning players? are they champions winning players? do they have THAT potential? and let me remind you, who have C9 beaten so far? EG (equivalent of KC pretty much) and 100T (2nd worst team from NA). is this really impressive? of course there are great players in NA but have they proven themselves at all? mce is great at turning mid players to decent ones but has he really helped turn them into winners? the difference is ardiis has INTL experience on a skilled roster who KNOWS what it takes to be the best. all the players you mentioned have yet to win anything notably and dont fit in to NRG roles wise and personality wise. & you have watched a total of 3 games out of the 9 that will play out. why are we so concerned about roster changes when the season isnt even half over? we all saw that the individuals on nrg underperformed greatly. fns went -31 and yet nrg ALMOST WON THE GAME. NRG ALMOST 4V5ed their way to a win. so even though what you see is the scoreline and the players, theres so much more that goes into creating a roster.
oh and let me remind you again, what was everyone saying when TGRD threw a 11-4 lead against OpTic last map which eventually let OpTic win their first masters? TGRD LOST BECAUSE THEY DIDNT HAVE INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE AND THE PRESSURE GOT TO THEM.
"please tell me how else i am supposed to interpret this."
I'll tell you exactly how to fucking interpret that, you brainless fucking simp. By reading what I said, and not implying anything farther than that! I used him as an example of a good player in NA, where we have a lot of talent to be developed! With some coaching, he went from a ranked demon, to a player who could go toe to toe with talent that was playing well against Optic last year!
To answer your moronic fucking conjecture, we don't fucking KNOW if they can win champions or masters, they've been in t1 for a literal fucking month. Regardless of who they have beaten, they still were able to take a map off LOUD, the fucking second best team in the entire world right now. that's a big fucking leap from literal nothing to going up against world champs and taking them to a map 3. In one fucking month. that's how much depth there is. you know how you get international experience and develop talent? By giving it a fucking chance! you don't go leaping to an entirely different region! And though we haven't watched a ton of NRG, there is NO WAY they should ever, ever lose to MIBR, made up of SA players who at no point had any chance against Loud last year, And there's a lot more to be concerned about with the flip flopping of roles there than anything else.
And the whole point of TGRD losing at that LAN is that they would have then gotten that fucking international experience! We didn't see them get to another international event, but that first LAN is often the most difficult. Look at XSET, they had no experience in Copenhagen and got owned, and then went to Champs and performed far above and beyond what anyone ever fucking expected, beating FPX and FNC, two teams that should have been way, way better than them! AND TGRD LOST BC THEY DIDNT HAVE INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE, SO USING YOUR OWN FUCKING LOGIC ONCE THEY GOT THAT INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE BY LOSING THEY SHOULD BE READY TO OVERCOME THAT FUCKING PRESSURE YOU MORON.
bro didnt bave a reasonable argument and responded by cursing me out KKKKKKKKKKK
stay mad G2 oxy lover.
“toe to toe with talent playing well against optic last year”
oxy at the bottom as a duelist kkkkk, & TGRD arguably downgraded coaches and primary duelist.
oh look another braindead argument! let me remind you again, who else took a map off of LOUD, the second best team in the world? MIBR LOOOOOOOL. clearly nrg underperformed, and played horribly INDIVIDUALLY (one bad off day) this does NOT mean they are worse than MIBR rofl. 3 close maps that could have gone either way. and oh yeah NRG almost beat LOUD after losing horribly map 1 at lock//in. how about you stop discrediting mibr and respect that they have improved a lot over the off-season.
and you completely did not comprehend my last statement. TGRD lost because they apparently had “no INTL LAN experience under mce.” do jakee and runi have any INTIL LAN experience? is this going to be the excuse again when C9 lose? bro completely missed the point.
honestly im shocked that you think you are smart enough to analyze every game that has been played by nrg so far (3 our of 9) and have come to the conclusion that C9 is now the greatest team in NA because they beat 100T with two previously T2 players. NRG has a single bad game (one that they almost won while throwing every possible anti-eco and eco) and everyone is immediately looking to point fingers and wanting to kick players off the team. where was this energy last week? where was the lets kick ardiis and fns energy last week? suddenly they lose an OT on the most one sided map in the pool and its over? get a life you two faced vlr analyst andy, i dont care what comes out of your mouth, NRG would not look any better rn with any roster change you mentioned, because the players being good at their roles is not the issue. NRG purely got outaimed by mibr that is legitimately it. ardiis whiffed, fns couldnt hit a shot for his life, even s0m whiffed on pearl. if NRG closes out their ecos and anti-ecos (ALWAYS ENDED IN 1v1 or 2v2) and stop whiffing every clip, they win split and pearl in half the time the match actually took.

nice xd 100T definitely better
You see the thing is that all of them produced results last year, even of it was only making a run I playoffs in challengers or performing consistently well on their team. What exactly happened to Ghost gaming sftrr they made that one playoffs? They exited with a whimper in dead last in playoffs. Nothing else after that too. They have to prove themselves again if they want to be in franchising again. We as fans can't change that, even if we think that they are better.
I'm not taking G2 over them but it's hard to argue against TGRD and M80 since both teams have better performing IGLs and coaches rn. Obviously the talent on the roster of 100T is great but if Cryo is playing this bad against C9 and players like Trent, Nismo and Zander are playing so so well rn I don't see how you're taking this 100T squad over them.
Because I don't take singular results over general play. Guard looked better all of Split one than G2 and played M80 closer than G2 did. Them losing a B03 with one round before OT doesn't take away from them being the better team for a longer time. G2 has worse losses and less convincing wins apart from literally one match that went the distance. This is not meant to take away from G2's skill but its pretty bad to make one result mean much more than other contradicting evidence.
Your pov is also correct ig but Imo G2 really got their stride and improved EXPONTENTIALLY through their lower bracket run as compared to split 1. I personally lean towards them more because they are a new team compared to the guard and have much bigger room to grow and it showed for me (especially against M80's Ascent, it was legit insane)
I agree they improved a lot, which is why they're even in this convo. After the OXG game you would've been laughed at for making this argument. That's not a knock on you but just to say that G2 made a fantastic run from LR1 all the way to the final. You can see the potential but to call them better than 100T you gotta see them make it consistent.
G2 would get destroyed in VCT, only M80 and Guard has a chance but wont be successful in the T1 league. Instead of taking up the teams, its better to just take the better players into Franchise.
Valyn Zander Trent Net Nismo etc can easily replace some underperforming players in the Big 5 Franchise teams.
