100T Overrated?

Ok guys, before you NA degenerates start to freak out, let's be reasonable here....
Most of this momentum the 100T hypetrain is getting comes from Bang's performance as a player and the win at the RED BULL HOMEGROUND tournament.
But think about it for a lil bit...
The red bull tournament had 2 B/C tier EMEA teams that were together for 2 weeks (FUT and Heretics), and an A tier Vitality (imo) that was together for 2 weeks also.
Don't even talk about LIQUID that had 2 subs and still stole a map from 100t.
The 100t squad was together for the best part of last year competition, with the exception of cryo wich is a great player indeed but was there to fullfill the easiest role to re-integrate in a team, (duellist/chamber).

What i'm trying to say here is that, yeah, 100t are a good team and won the RED BULL thing, but given the circumstances, that tournament is not much to go by.
Bang is a great player. And so is Cryo, but the competition was heavily nerfed in that tourney and now, on LOCK IN BRASIL, teams will be way more cohese and in tune.

While I still think they are a great team with tons of potential, I would NOT pick 100t as favourites to win.
And by a BIG margin.

THIS. 100T are good team with a lot of potential, but they are overrated heading into next year IMO. They made a good roster change by adding Cryo, but is that enough? They didn't look amazing in Champions (with Will performing). Like I've seen people saying how 100T were on same level as FPX(NaVi) pre-2023 like what?

Also some of their players just get way too much praise for nothing. There's still people who seriously believe Asuna is top 3 entry/raze in the world while ignoring how mid and inconsistent he has looked. That's like saying Zeek is still the best. Bang is good, but I've seen people rating him over guys like Mako and Pancada, and saying how you are crazy if you don't rate him as top 3 controller. Like what? Cryo is really good, but again I've seen many rating him as potentially the best duelist entering next year while ignoring how competitive that role is etc.

Naww man you're always biased asf against 100T.

Can you please explain how Asuna is suddenly a bad player ? He was by far the best entry fragger at LCQ. Sure he's not the best raze itw but he's definitely up there. You needa cut him some slack for champs coz they only played 3 matches and that's too little data to label him as inconsistent.
Y'all need to understand that Asuna's playstyle has completely changed in the last 6 months. He is no longer the hard entry he was in old 100T bcoz this new team has a very different style of attack. It's more team work and coordination instead of just 1 player running in and killing people. Asuna has actually become much smarter now, he plays to win the round instead of inting for kills. He plays his initiator role well and he is crazy good at trading kills which is one of the best skills to have as a pro player.

As for your argument about bang and cryo you're just plain wrong.

Almost every pro player rates Yay and Cryo equally. They were both insane on chamber. As for who will be the better Jett it's still up for debate and we'll find out this year.

And about bang, he still needs more LAN xp to prove his worth. He's just as good as Mako and Marved but needs time to prove it. Look at their performance in the head-2-head. Bang definitely kept up with Mako and in a few cases outdid him.

As for the team being overrated, sure I could somewhat agree. But it's bcoz they have a HUGE fanbase. You can't expect every single fan to be purely statistical and not rate their team higher. I personally don't think they're gonna win LOCK//IN (it's a single elim Bo3 cmon, this result would mean nothing) but I definitely think they'll do extremely well during the rest of the year and there's definitely an international trophy coming home

I'm biased, but I feel like Stellar as an IGL and the coaching staff get overlooked too. Everyone on the team can frag and when they have a good plan against a specific team they've shown they can play with anyone. Winning in Brazil is definitely a long shot considering the caliber of teams, but I definitely agree they should be in contention all year.

I'm just telling you that you need to make peace with the fact that even if your team is good they'll always be rated lower bcoz they have a niche fanbase whereas 100T may not be the best team but they'll always be rated high bcoz they have a big dedicated fanbase who will always be believing in them regardless of results since they've got so much raw clout. That's just how it works, clouted teams get rated higher, you don't gotta be mad about it

Yes Bang goes hard, but cryo is top 2 Jett/Chamber players in the world, Asuna has been of the best flex players throughout all iterations of 100T, Stellar is one of the few IGLs you can rely on to put up frags, and Derrek is probably the best initiator in NA (close with BcJ and crashies)

Having 100T anything below top 4 just shows that you dont know what youre talking about

What cryo did till now to be considered as top 2 player jett? There are a lot better players than him.. aspas, tenz, derke, buzz as jett.. u can include him in top 10 jett , but top 2 is too much for someone who did and won nothing special.

They beat fanatic first time and threw against drx on breeze. Also it is harder to play fanatic again a 2nd time after already showing their strats on some of the same maps from the first match. Plus Red Bull tourney may not have been super important but they looked really good as a team which is promising.

I would agree. I think that really any team could win this tourney with the single elim and new meta (same thing practically every coach/player has been saying). But with that being said you can still have favorites which 100T should definitely be one of with their recent performances, whether at big tourneys or not, they have still looked good fundamentally as a team. Along with them keeping the majority of their team together they are sure to have a advantage going into this kick off tourney.
