Even Toast who has signed 6 people each for like 5k a month doesn't know what his team is fighting for
G2 and Shopify play here. They basically do a round robin in groups for around 6 weeks and then the top 8 will play a tournament in march. The groups and the tournament give circuit points based on how well you do. Then they'll do another split of round robin. The top 8 teams with the most points play in Challengers Playoffs in June. The two best teams there will qualify for Ascension Americas in July. That will have 2 teams from Latin America and 2 teams from Brazil. The final winner of that tournament (Ascension) will get a 2 year contract into the Americas partnered league and the monetary benefits there. All 30 partnered teams in the three main leagues will first play in São Paulo, Brazil starting February 13th. Hope that answers your questions. If you have anymore just let me know.
The thirty partnered teams will go back to their 3 leagues, Americas, Pacific, and EMEA. The exact format of the 3 leagues hasn't been revealed, but I'm assuming that each team will play the all the 9 other teams in their league in a best of three series over about 7 weeks. The top 6 or 8 teams (I don't know the exact number yet) will play some kind of a playoff, and the top 3 teams in those playoffs will make it to Masters Tokyo in June. The only exception is the league where the winner of São Paulo is from. There will be 4 teams from that league.
Fella; you are making an unecessary scene out of someone who is entering our world and is willing to invest into a team of 5 talented players and a coach; not everyone is a millionaire and/or voluntarily chose to take the gamble.
Everybody's gotta start somewhere and it shows with Toast streaming DSG's games with Tarik.
He did the basic research on knowing what VCT was and what it entails. Even some people in VLR still have no idea how do VCT actually work.
Chill.
What scene am I making? Just wondering why people have such a bad understanding of the format in general. Shouldn't have mentioned Toast, cause I didn't even criticize him and got tons of heated responses.
"someone who is entering our world and is willing to invest into a team of 5 talented players and a coach" Yeah I know he's putting a ton of money into this kind of a project so I don't see why he wouldn't know what he's signing up for?
