Antwerp Major? Really good event. And what Valorant had? All of their events were pretty mid compared to what esports event can be and were nothing compared to Antwerp for example. And then you have LoL with Worlds, MSI and even the regional finals were really good. Valorant had Reykjavik with no crowd, Copenhagen with small crowd and Champions Istanbul that was overall pretty mid and they just recycled same elements every event. Worlds finals alone is better than all 3 combined. Game Changers was cool tho because women scene isn't usually focused on but thats it. Even all the 3rd party tournament have been really meh so far.
I'm not arguing which one of the games is better or will be in the future, but at this point this year I strongly believe Valorant shouldn't be winning the game of the year award. But its based on community votes and I believe CSGO and LoL esport viewers aren't as active in this type of community vote things. And I'm not even arguing Valorant vs CSGO only when you also have LoL in there.
Even that 10% is more than what Champions crowd was, plus finals crowd was way more stacked than Champions finals. And on top of that that shit would happen in any game. Like roll Champions finals XSET vs Xerxia and see the viewership. Also it wasnt' the only event and Major Antwerp clears any Valorant event so far.
