Actually "updates" on rules made this game boring. Football used to be much more of a contact sport. Now it's everybody diving and delaying time :/
I hope rumors about FIFA testing new rules(30 min times) with the time actually pauses in sync with referee's watches.

Its the build up process to the goal that make people love them so much maybe you just dont get it. Its just like the ball movement in the nba. And i also agree that football can be boring af depends on the tactics that the team have, for example, one team can go playing the most boring football ever by only expecting a transitions to attack while the other trying to be dominant by always passing to the right players and in the process making them having the most xG (expected goal) than the other team. Example: wales vs USA games are straight boring asf while england vs iran are a great, eye pleased game to watch with 6-2 as the final results.
