planning to buy a new pc in a few months and im on a budget so im debating on going for an i5-10400f with a mid range gpu like a 1660 super or should i get an i3-10100f with a more powerful gpu. idk if the i3 would cause bottlenecking with a 30 series gpu so thats why im looking for some help.

What do u want to use the PC for? I think overall I would go for i5 and 1660 super. i3 with 30 series will cause bottle neck

I got a 12th gen i3 paired with a 2060 (you could even go 2060ti) and there barely any bottleneck, if you're on a budget, it's a good pair, if you can spend a bit more, then go for it

Well yeah, if he is not changing motherboard which is why both of his options are 10th gen, then yes, you're right, maybe a 1660 super could be a good option

i mean typically there are monthly sales on our online shopping apps (shopee and lazada) during every same month same day like 11-11 12-12 etc. but mostly sales are during special holidays like christmas

The best recommendation, save up some more money, it does not make sense to buy a 1660 super in late 2022. Your money will just get wasted in a 3-year-old system specs.

If you play Valorant primarily, then go for the i5 with 1660 super. Valorant is heavily CPU dependent.
