Why does everyone hate him? yall can appericate 100T for building a young roster and winning an online tier 1.5 event (and then flopping on LAN btw) but cant appreciate boaster building a turkish 17 year old child demon into the best entry player in the world? cant appreciate them getting 4th and 5th in 2 LANs (which a lot of teams will die for).

Nothing is too cringe for VCT, tbh. It's the perception of fans alike that always sees pros need to be well, 'pros', whatever that means. Serious, no-nonsense, cool, calm, collected? But honestly, I feel that's bs because there are a lot of pros that do... joke around. They take stuff lightheartedly and they can be serious if needed. Boaster is the same. With his background and experience, he obviously loves the theatrics, but I think people hate that he's the way he is. Then again people like Benkai as well so the hypocrisy in some aspects are ironic, not to discredit him though.
tbh the hate comes from the expectations most have from Fnatic (Fnatic with the players they had going into Copenhagen were expected to win it all) and since that didn’t happen and Fnatic choked the only person most blame is the IGL like even when Optic did bad FNS got blamed almost always so it’s something that comes with being IGL but some of his ideas are weird as well and stuff that costs Fnatic maps/games so it’s a combination of both

People hate Boaster because he’s toxic under the guise of banter, throws strays at other orgs and players that are not even at the event, and is more worried about creating content than winning LAN
Also Don’t compare Benkai to Boaster. There’s a clear difference in their style of theatrics. boaster is unfunny and rude, benkai is actually a wholesome dude + benkai has put up more impressive international performances without blowing up his roster and talking no where near the amount of shit

I think people forget that winning a championship is fucking hard, and there can only be one team in the world that wins. I will always give props to Boaster and Stax/Zest for keeping their team at the top of their game for 2 years(each with one bad stage but that's fine). Even though they didn't win, they are for sure two of the best teams but they haven't gotten over the hump. He'll get his championship at some point, but at the end of the day some teams catch fire at the right time and there's not much you can do.
