Ayo devs, can you add a translate option like twitter. Sometimes brazilians or asians type in their languages
Ayo devs, can you add a translate option like twitter. Sometimes brazilians or asians type in their languages
or make it so the forum is english only like most twitch chats are
edit: isn't supposed to be racist in anyway. im just saying it would be easier for everyone, including the mods
it wouldnt be easier for people who don't speak english tho. why cut off them from enjoying the pleasures of being a vlr user?
yeah, but it's hard to engage in discussions in which you can't understand
yeah I dont want it either. Just use an extension if you want. Or just dont engage in conversations not meant for you.
that would be pretty hard to make
also you could just google translate?
i dont think it would be that hard to make if it could just send requests to google translator or smth like that
Chrome or Brave can insta translate whole page instantly just with right click
bro uses edge browser 💀💀💀💀💀 the only type of edge i would ever use is
pprt. brasileiro sempre coloca "br come" or [br]
gringo se incomoda com mt pouco
Brazilians are the ones who speak in their language here the most and is crazy how much we can understand of what they say, I’ve actually learned a lot xD
Just add the Google translate extension man, it's super useful in general:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-translate/aapbdbdomjkkjkaonfhkkikfgjllcleb?hl=en
sometimes the translation can be a bit wonky, but it's good enough to get the idea of what are they actually saying so yeah if you really wanna know what other ppl are saying just use google translate
There should be a subforum for brazilians, like 1 out of 5 posts are in portuguese anyway.
Guys, I know there are extensions and google translate, but nothing beats a "translate" option under each comment.
Also, its not hard to implement, he just gotta find some API and pass the text and returns the translated version. Maybe google has API for its translator too.
Why do you think Twitter doesn't rely on users using their own extension? Cuz its not convenient at all lol.
I bet the devs are eventually gonna implement that if they want a better UX.
100% from UX perspective its better to put an option to translate below the sentence rather than using an extension, or google translate which u need to move to other tab. but idk about developing that thing, but if its as easy as find the API from google, and implement it, they should do it. not a single bad thing happen implementing it.
or maybe can add a some option in setting, to auto translate, or add option to translate when its not your selected language. that's better imo
