wouldn't it be better if gc was stricly female like cis women, born female nb, mtf trans and maybe the exception of ftm trans since they need a safe space as well? like gc is a stepping stone to actually enter t2 and t1 and idk what other intentions (besides farming for money obviously) a masculine presenting "nonbinary" male could have instead of going straight to regular t2. i think it's too far but hypothetically men could still fake to be trans ig so maybe let them in it they have transitioned or are transitioning and if they don't have the means then maybe riot could help them out?

Problem you face is, if you start to regulate this sort of stuff then people will say you're not inclusive to the "nonbinary" community and it'll just end up really messy. When you're dealing with this sort of stuff its like walking on eggshells. To be fair though, the fact that there are men who are pretending to be apart of a community they're not is fucking hella weird and basically points to the fact that they're just trying to farm money.
idk jackshit about the LGBTQ community, but is there like a legal proof that someone is a non binary, maybe like a document or something? so that GC officials can verify that someone is a non-binary? at this point isn't it easy for someone to just "hey I'm a non binary now and definitely not because the competition in game changers is weaker than the normal VCT ones" and just shit on game changers to get that easy money?
I'm not completely sure to be honest, and even then how would something like this be obtainable? from my understanding "nonbinary" is just a label they give themselfs that says they dont identify as male or female. The whole situation in my opinion is suuper hard to regulate without pissing people off. I think this is another reason why its been so loosely regulated as they dont want to piss others off.
what would be the vetting process though? genital inspections?

a. super invasive
b. have several false negatives
c. have several false positives

Yeah it's suuper hard to regulate and I feel like this is one of the reasons why its been so loosely regulated. If you hard regulate it then you piss alot of people off and get a bad name for yourself but if you don't regulate it then you get people abusing the system and find loop-holes. It's such a hard situation. Obviously there needs to be a female scene and a pathway into Tier1 female scene aswell, but regulating it on who's allowed in and not becomes really hard.
yeah ultimately it’s a scene that helps develop talent from marginalized communities with hopes that they can compete with or be picked up by tier 1 teams without regard for gender. unfortunate that the focus would be the legitimacy of players and bigots taking advantage of the system, this only scares away the same community that is supposed to be helped by gc, for fear that their identity is questioned or be just associated with drama all the time that no one takes them seriously anymore
imo trans people who show proof should be allowed but non binary people should not be. The definition of non-binary literally says that they may not feel male or female and are allowed to change it whenever they feel. this is like asking for trouble. cannot be verified and we have to take them at word value unlike trans people who actually transition
