how come? like other artists, kendrick has brought communities together with his powerful and inspiring music. however, he was one of the first to do it with the black community and he was a figure that people looked up to. he shined a light on what he and many other people like him had to deal with.

i think music is both objective and subjective in their own ways. there are for sure artists that deserve to be in the GOAT discussions, but past that point, it depends on who you enjoy. for me, that's kendrick
