Even though he is arguably the best controller NA, teams would still hesitate to pay a massive buyout for him just bcz his past and the allegations that looms over him. Let's say ESIC comes out of nowhere with some damning information and now his team is in utter shit cz they can't sign someone outside of transfer window, they have to make do with their 6th man.
XSET has finally let their players pursue other teams as unrestricted FAs, why can't OpTic do the same? Imagine if marved has to sit this one out because of OpTic's greed! They got him for free, it's not like they have to make return on their investment.

he said you made up the narrative, not the allegations. No sponsors will revoke their sponsorship because of hiring Marved. Orgs care about making money and being successful and Marved will help every single NA team do that. Idk why you think Optic has the obiligation to release their players for FREE when they can make money selling him.

I never said sponsors will back out if a team signs marved. I said they will back out if he is ever proven guilty. If there's a 1% chance of him being guilty, companies are still gonna assess that. Which means teams are gonna be reluctant to pay a massive buyout not that they don't sign him.

Dude some many pros, casters, and reporters have said that riot will probably not give a fuck regarding the report. They have established Valorant as a new game for players to re-establish themselves, and they have literally promoted Marved and his brand multiple times on OpTic (a whole documentary). The only negative thing the report cause would directly implicate Marved as a matchfixer, but most of the community has arrived at that conclusion already

Whether we want to believe it or not, well run businesses(orgs) are gonna assess the possibility and the risk that comes with it so naturally the are gonna be reluctant to pay a massive buyout. cz that's instant money, salary is week to week and you can just release the player if any damning info ever surfaces.
