actually not a bad looking guy!
people are ACTUALLY going out of their way to dislike this post cuz im not shitting on dream for being "ugly"............ I LOVE VLR
My take on Dream's Face Reveal (no one asked for this):
I think the major backlash on Twitter came from the fact that Dream decided to FaceTime every major creator in his circle to set up this high expectation of what he was going to look like and did not meet people's expectations.
Like everyone else has been saying though, he's a pretty bland and average looking dude, and I personally do not think it was worth the hype that it got leading up to it.
Nothing wrong with his look. He looks fine. Really sad to see all the hate and jokes flying around knowing that this must have been really hard thing for him to do considering the unrealistic expectations from massive audience. Especially if you naturally are more insecure/unconfident person as well seeing slight uncomfort in the video. But good for him considering that he can finally do content he wants and attend events etc and this must have been huge obstacle stopping him from doing those things.
Obviously I don't know much about this dude and have heard that his fanbase harasses people and acts like little minions and he has done so weird stuff in the past so I guess some of the jokes/hate is kind of understandable? But still shouldn't be accepted IMO. Also this whole hyping thing definitely made it worse, but I think its kind of understandable. I would imagine many wanting to see his face so why not make it a big thing and create hype as content creator. Also I would believe this might as well worked as mental preparation for him. Show your face to selected people on internet and then they can kind of describe how you look and then finally show your face to the audience. Also getting used to people seeing your face under brand and taking first steps with people you considered friends or colleagues is easier than doing it with huge crowd of people. It sets certain expectations and may take burden off his shoulders (don't know how streamers reacted or what they said).
all in all I'm happy for him, sad for hate, and I understand why he "hyped" this up if he actually used it as pressure reliever kind of.
