The point is TenZ and Shahzam doesn't deserve to be in the League. Teams, such as Optic, proved time and time again that they are the best consistently while Sentinels haven't. Tenz and Shazam only got their spot because they are profit machines for Sentinels and got a large following of fans. Riot picked their franchises based on who will make the most money and sponsorships for them. So, it's still Profit > Merit.

Valorant isn't running at a loss. It will only run at a loss because Riot is trying to expand their Valorant Esports scene as quickly as possible, even at the cost of its quality.

In regards to players, Do you think that teams will just get the shittest players known to the scene, stick them on a team and hope for the best? You think Riot would allow this? cmon man, I get you're pressed about all of this but Riot has actually done a decent job of laying a path for Tier2. Its not like we wont see the Tier2 scene anymore, we just wont see Tier1 team vs Tier3 team 13-0ing them in open quals.
Same difference. If you are a fan of a decision made by a sell-out company then you just don't care about the quality of the tournament scene and are indirectly supporting the company's decision. I don't get why those "fans" shouldn't be called out for it too. As one of those "fans" if you have nothing to say, ignore it, and if you have something to say, refute it. And don't tell me that the quality of the tournament scene will suffer. I think that the tournaments we will have next year will be amazing and probably even better than the ones we had so far.
Sure it's heartbreaking for some teams like optic that didn't get in, but franchising ensures a longtime viability for valorant as an esport.

esports best attribute has been about the ability for people to move freely and achieve success on merit and being the best
now you just have to be the most marketable for content bc winning doesn’t matter. they get market share guarantee by only 5 teams from NA. you’re forced to root for an org just to be involved in the scene
