When will people understand that

Its almost IMPOSSIBLE to win a tournament back to back .
1) The meta changes way too much and some teams adapt faster than others
2) After you win a tournament every other team will look at your games and steal your strats
so I do not think we will see a team win a back to back for atleast 2 more years or so

back to back looks impossible but optic can be the first team to win 2 titles

if FPX was in Iceland then they wouldve been the first team to win 2 consecutive masters

i'm sick of hearing people make these hollow claims regarding iceland and fpx when there's shit tons of variables that no one can ever predict. fpx could've bombed out 0-2 due to bad luck. there's no guarantee that they would've won iceland. they were a great team at the time, probably a top 3 in the world, but that doesn't guarantee a victory.

FPX looking like the most dominant team from any region at that time.
Optic and NA got lucky the got handed a free win

you never saw them against international teams, so how could they look like the most dominant team? that's all speculation given their matches against other EMEA teams. playstyles across different regions are all different.

watching them sleep every team at copenhagen is enough evidence

they had a 3-2 final. that's not even close to being a decisive victory. the fact of the matter is that valorant is very competitive and the top 5 or so teams in the world can beat each other on any given day. it just depends on who plays better that day.

tbf even if they won iceland, look at OP's second point. fpx aren't immune to this, the losses they're taking in champions right now probably would've just happened in copenhagen instead

i kind of agree but it isn't impossible which makes it insanely hype, and the teams that were closest to achieving this were gambit (and possibly fpx right now)

Fnatic went into copenhagen looking like the best valorant team ever. Expectations going in from stage 2, anything but winning was a disappointment.

Who's to say fpx wouldnt have the same flop at Iceland? Optic brought the neon and chamber into the forefront of the meta. Prior to Iceland, NA was the only region abusing chamber, emea barely played him. Come copehagen and the meta defining comps used by optic were heavily studied, practiced with and against, and teams (including fpx) were much more prepared to counter. Why is there an assumption that fpx would've handled those comps in Iceland how they did copenhagen? That's 3 months of adapting that helped them antistrat so well.

Imo fpx was obviously a very good team. But just based on the meta at the time. Fpx at Iceland likely makes the run zeta had.

Edit: this was meant as a response to the guy saying fpx would've won Iceland too)

I think what people need to understand is valorant is a random game and even if the game didn’t change we wouldn’t see the same teams top5

FPX has the highest chance
if they defeats LEV today they will win champs
but they have to win against LEV
