I don't see what's the big deal? You're an apex player who understands very little about tactical fps, so your listen to your IGL/coach at the time and do what he says just like you do in every other team sport ever. That makes sense. Of course, 2 years later there are stuff that clearly should've been different, but neither zombs, shahzam, or anyone knew at the time.
I can understand at the beginning him blindly following the directions of Shahzam, but I would think after playing for so long you would be given so freedom on how to play and not just have to be micromanaged by ur igl
Isn’t that the entire point of an igl. To lead team mates Ingame. Micromanage players mid round to ensure everything is going as per the strat/plan. If not, why would teams need an igl?
lead team mates Ingame doesn't means micromanaging your team. Calling a strat, starting an execute, reminding the strat, etc.
I think you underestimate what all an igl does or is expected to every round. Which is why people forgive igl for not fragging out since they have a lot of micro adjustments to make every round as it is going

This right here is the fragile nature of eSports as a career. It's not just about Zombs. It's about every onliner who thinks they are good at the game just because you happen to register some bullets.
Y'all need to understand that the concept of nice shot does not exist in any elo. It's just trash peek sense of your opponents which facilitates the illusion of nice shot. Pressing the keyboard buttons fast but too slow to press mouse button? Yeah now your opponent thinks he is good at the game.
You think you can make some Vin Diesel like family connection with you team and win VCT one day? No that shit isn't real. If your bullets don't register then you will be dropped like a hot potato, period. All kinds of happy haha emotions can exist only when your bullets register.
Please do not live under the illusion that you can be a pRo EsPoRtS player just because you think you are good at registering bullets. This applies specifically to diamond-immortal2 elo and also silver-plat elo to some extend. Bullets only register when peek sense is trash.
