someone explain what’s happening in simple terms i cba reading atm
I'll use what I've already written and say it in comparison to LOL
So we've got LCS (but with South America too), LEC and an Asian league combining all the countries. 10 big orgs with a lot of fans from every region get chosen by Riot for a 4 years partnership (Basically franchised teams but they don't own the spots like in Lol, after 4 years if they don't do well Riot can kick them out so it doesn't happen like in LEC full of teams no one cares about and are just holding the spot like Astralis for example).
These leagues will also have a spring and summer split like in LOL, the winners of the first split are probably gonna be going to masters 1 and the second split for masters two, and then earn points for champs like already happens currently.
Then you've got regional leagues all around the world, this one can even be accessed from tournaments organized from the client in the game (Like a tournament mode or something). The winners of these leagues will compete in a sort of European Masters where every year the winner will be added to the main league (LEC) with a 2 years contract, adding teams until they get the leagues up to 14 teams per league. That way they will get to a point where every year 1 team will finish their contract and the winner of that year will get in. That way it's not closed franchising but the 10 guaranteed teams are still secure
Brilliant if you ask me don't really have complaints about it
idk if it's clear enough
You read correctly, CIS doesn’t have their own league, just like they haven’t had it this year due to the war, players have to distribute around the other VRL’s and the franchising teams. Probably will be added once everything it’s solved, whenever that is. Similar case to CN league probably added whenever game is released
