nah they run ads for their youtube videos, each ad view (no matter the length being viewed) will always +1 view to the video. you can see how they've targetted this for a certain type of video (guild beating optic highlights for example as its a big achievement) - i've gotten guild ads as full videos multiple times lol, other people can probably confirm too

That's a very fair compensation imo, considering that most of pro players end up sacrificing their education, thereby affecting their long term earning potential. Especially, if they are unable to "retire" into an alternative career within esports/entertainment, be it streaming or freelance casting etc.
