I would like to make a point here, DRX/VS stopped scrimming against KR just because they had been beaten by NU in stage 2 2021.
DRX left the rest of the region to fend for themselves. Hoarding talent and not letting them scrim against them and the skill gap is becoming more and more obvious
don't blame DRX, its legit just that valorant isn't that popular in korea. Popularity in a game brings orgs and investment in the esports scene. Pros feel the lack of opportunity in korea so move to japan i don't blame them.
you're right about the pros moving to Japan, the problem is more to do with the orgs than the playerbase. So much talent goes to japan because theres more resources there, you can pick 5 KR players in Japan and make a team that'll rival DRX. I still feel like DRX has suppressed their region, its just not the main problem

no lol lack of korean interest in valorant killed the region, if they even get half the popularity of league there would be more investments and pro players wouldn't leave the scene. Reality is koreans have low interests in other games other than league lol.
They killed they region but not by not scriming them. What they did with Lakia was awful, G2 move right there
