Got into the game before m3 berlin so never got into Sentinels bandwagon but this hate bandwagon seems a lil too much.
Atleast have some respect

I assure you no one hates TenZ. Maybe a handful of people but not many. There is literally nothing to hate about TenZ. He just plays his game, sometimes maybe good sometimes maybe shit, and never shittalks anyone
The hatred you're referring to is the TenZ fanbase which I agree is annoying as fuck but it's understandable since most of those people are casuals
I never really understood why people hate Shazaam so much. Like I think the screaming is a little cringe, so I don’t watch him. I think it has a lot to do with the IBP situation, because iirc he was the one that basically leaked the throwing, but I thought people generally hated IBP for the the match fixing.
They were so arrogant when they were the "best team" and you might say it is all for content but they really are arrogant, literally shahzam didn't encouraged their teammates to practice, and they are playing a tournament they don't deserve and most likely will get into franchise, making teams who really care about winning to leave the game so this content team can play in the americas
yeah people love to hate sentinels
they dominated north america in 2021 before even getting tenz, and ddominantly won iceland 2021 & the qualifiers for berlin
sentinels kind of built themselves as the """villains""" from their banter and such and people love to shit on them for not playing up to expectations after iceland and love to blame it on streaming
anroid put it well since without sentinels na valorant wouldnt be as exciting and have as much viewers
Dapr is hated for good reason. Imagine saying that because you won a round, it is okay to teabag someone's corpse in game. Its not. Unless there's express consent from everyone, including those who would have to watch it, its sexual harassment and it has to end. #RiotGames #VALORANT #sexualharassment #eSports
I love competitive gaming. I love the aspect of eSports. But we need to drawn the line between poor sportsmanship and professionalism. In any other aspect of amateur leagues in any competitive environment, that kind of behaviors would illicit an immediate ban. Why not in eSports?
And the argument of "it's always been like this in gaming" is invalid. It still doesn't make it okay. You want the industry to grow and become viable? Then it needs to grow out of and unlearn toxic behaviors. Ofcourse, I don't expect enforcement to happen in lower levels, but we need to make sure we are allowing the behaviors we want in our spaces. Boundaries need to be drawn.
I'm very passionate about this due to my own trauma regarding being tbagged by people IRL when I was younger. I do not consent. Ever. Take your genitals out of my face and just say Good Game. It isn't that hard. /endrant
