Sliggy opinion on best player in the world

He said we can’t determine a best player yet because difference in roles makes some players look better than others and one nerf could just change everything

he is right, look at jett players after the nerf ( no hate )

that's what differenciates this game between the others like csgo,
meta changes every act, there isn't something like the best player yet.
if somebody can keep a good form for atleast a year and wins 2international tournaments then we can call the player the best atm

the only player in the world who mainted his stats and form playing different roles is mwzera

It's very hard to rank players overall, that's why I like to rank players by role.

there is metas that benefit some players like this meta and yay but the best players stay the same unless they are just onetricks or have unsustainable playstyles but overall we can say who are the best 5-8 players, also imo we will never have a clear best player itw like s1mple, zywoo or niko, this game has a very low ceiling mechanically which makes the gap between a better and a worse player smaller than in csgo for example

Its completely impossible to determine the best player in the world because different players play different roles and are in different systems with different cultures. Some players will shine in some situations and slump in others, perhaps a player might pop off and shine under a regimented structure like DRX but would struggle playing for a more casual org. Or vice versa, not every player is given the same opportunities and environments to thrive which is why we cant determine who the best is. You could make the argument that the best player would be one who is consistently good under completely different teams and different roles.
