Some more info regarding the APAC league's slot allocation:
Korea & Japan will each have 2-4 orgs representing their region, more likely to be around 3 each.
The remaining slots will be for SEA, with South Asia and OCE possibly being included too, depending on who is selected by Riot. China's involvement is unknown for now.
It's not like KR and JP have bigger scene or play at a higher level... Only 3 slots for SEA when there are malay, indo, thai, sing, pinoy, viet ( they gonna become good soon when looking at every other esport games ). If riot don't provide some solution, some countries scene will die when they get no representative.
still just a single country, maybe JP 3 spots, but for korea 2 spots are already a lot until they prove that their teams are good enough other than drx or their scene is big enough. Otherwise, it's just unfair and gonna kill SEA. I wasnt even counting HK/TW as well since I thought they gonna be with China. Edit : and ye Vietnam havent show much but their first seed did beat seed 2 thailand this vct
that single country puts up more numbers than entire regions, you're tripping. JP deserves all 3 slots these guys have insane viewership.
KR teams are good enough and so are their players. They've sent almost consistently the 1st/2nd most players to p much every international event and 2/3 KR teams made top 4 at APAC LCQ.
(2nd at Masters Reykjavik 2021, 1st at Masters Berlin, 4th at Champions, 2nd at Masters Reykjavik 2022, 2nd at Masters Copenhagen - every tournament except Berlin KR had only sent 1 team, whereas the top spots were usually occupied by regions that sent 2+ teams. this is crazy)
That was without the 2nd best KR team playing btw.
SEA deserves as many spots as possible though, because the talent pool and potential is really big in Valorant.
I agree with jp 3 slots only. KR have the most players in international events is because of connections from overwatch pro scene when valorant scene just started and they join jp teams.JP players were full of newbies so KR players easily win the spot and go international. Apac LCQ is quite a while ago when the scene was pretty new so its not that credible, full sense win that one anyway. If there is an lcq this year, are you sure KR can get the same result? And even with that 2 slots for KR is more than enough, but 3??
EDIT: bro I check all the liquidpedia page for the events already. KR have 2nd most players is because they play for JP teams like I said and they just get like 1 or 2 more than Thailand. Does that really matter lol?
Well for every tournament bar 1 the best Japanese team had at least 2 Koreans as the star player/IGL so...
As for these outdated "incredible" stats, they're the only publicly available stats to go off. Plus the Masters Reykjavik and Copenhagen stats are still relevant. Meteor and JoXJo aren't OW players btw. Neither was Xeta.
I also checked the Liquipedia page. KR sent like 1 team almost every event save for Berlin but still ranked top 2 for most events. It's arguable that JP was the worst region but don't forget Xeta and Sayaplayer were at one point considered the best in their role in NA. And Meteor literally won 3-1 against ZETA, who placed 3rd last Masters.
Never said KR deserves 3, but you're acting like KR deserves only 1 and "maybe 2", which I disagree with. KR having 1 slot only is part of the reason KR talent is moving to other regions and qualifying from there (like NA and JP).
Results wise, KR is still a good region too considering they've had only 1 team.

bruh that match could have gone either way, by your logic that team diff zeta too so they must be > drx? and is 1 match with a team not even full koreans proving korea deserve 3 slot for a single country? Right now, Xerxia a full thailand team btw can beat any team in korea except for DRX and thats a fact. They still struggle in APAC qualifiers, there are teams can beat them 2 0 convincingly. You guys are good but not good enough to deserve 3 slot for a single country, this is not League. Dude is delusional LOL.
