drx fans are so delusional
everytime drx loses, they say drx just choked or they threw, but when in reality they are just getting outplayed, optic and fpx are the just better than them, they conditioned drx to play as they did, and this is not even the first time, every event its the same
they have not even been top 4 once yet the fans consider them top 3 coming into every event
"wow drx just sweeped their below average region full of t3 teams, they must be top 3", well spoiler alert: they are NOT

its a shame, because they have such good players
honestly its just embarrassing

Observable pattern: DRX loses to actual good teams that end up winning the event/finalists or placing at least top 3. DRX has never lost to a no-namer team, at least as far as I remember.

Always lost to the likes of Gambit, Optic, Zeta etc.

That places them between the top teams and the underdogs very consistently. Not top 3 but any one of these masters they might make the run they are looking for.

They were the weakest from EMEA that year.... Liquid Gambit and Acend just looked better....I was genuinely surprised by their performance in Champions as they played really well and I wanted them to win but it wouldn't make sense if I say that was them in a good form. All I mean is the DRX losing to FNC was a shock for me even though I am a huge Fnatic fan because I heard they were the best of Korea and Fnatic was going through a rough patch around the time

KRU lost to FNC and Liquid in first masters, G2 and Optic in 2nd masters. Placed 3rd in Champs after losing to Gambit. Lost to Optic and Liquid in Masters 1. Lost to Optic and Guild in Masters 2. Yet you dont see them getting so much benefit of doubt do you?

When have I said KRU is not a good team.

Altho they have not been as good as DRX still.

KRU in masters 1 Reykjavik 2021 was probably not as good as Nuturn the KR counterpart.

Moreover, a lot of their series have not looked competitive against actual top-quality teams. DRX has looked much better overall making playoffs in pretty much all tournaments except 1.

Remember Masters Berlin where DRX was placed in the group of death? Everyone was unsure if DRX will make it out but they topped their group and it was not even close.

I don't think it is wrong to say that they are contenders for the trophy in every tournament they walk into. They just have some weird affinity with group stage matches and some sort of allergy to lower bracket games.

As I said before, They are not one of those "100% winning this tournament" teams like Fnatic was this masters nor those teams you are unsure about coming into playoffs like Leviatan and XSET. You know they will always get a top 8 at least or top 4 finish in the tournament. It is just one of those tournaments they need where the stars align and they lift a trophy. Because they definitely seem to show the potential to do so.

Another thing which is annoying the fuck out of me right now that every person (caster, analyst etc.) gives a fuck about fpx winning. "It's a heartbreak", "Optic destroyed their mental" etc. It's almost like FPX winning doesn't matter. They seem to forget that FPX has missed an ENTIRE lan event despite being first seed, had to play with suygetsu through group stage.

honestly it's been surprising see everyone still saying they choked despite losing 26-14 on aggregate. People just keep pushing whatever story makes them happy at night I guess, but it's clear that they were outplayed this time and saying "they need a mental coach" is reducing their problems to such a little thing that wasn't even the deciding factor this time

i can see the choke narrative being used on the optic games. they could've beaten them in M1 and forced ot in M2 if they kept their cool.
The FPX game was a closeout, fpx were just better

I don't even like DRX, but they have good reasons to think so. This team goes 12-0 one map and literally does fuck all the next.
It has to be consistency issue, no way such a dominant team can't perform at least respectably every other game.
