Ethan was a top 20 player, auti and skadoodle were major champions back in like the 1800s, everyone else was washed up t2 players or perennial chokers (Hiko/TenZ cough cough)
ethan got lucky, he was just a mediocre support player but his team was one of the best so he farmed stats, auti was good in his days, ska dogshit

I mean, there were better players than him who didnt make the top20, his team was consistently making deep runs in tournaments so he just farmed stats, nothing special, he wouldnt have stayed in t1 for much longer so he did well switching
Making into top 20 doesnt necessarily mean you are good. Shroud in 2015 almost made into top 20, he had 1.13 rating and Ska had 1.15. But the reason is that Ska showed up in group stage, while Shroud was just good, but in the playoffs is where Shroud really showed up and lead his team to glory. So basically Shroud cared more about big games than group stages. If you watch the demo, Shroud doesn't really care about fragging when their team is winning. Basically in a 1v5 situation Shroud would just try to go after the last player like its a pug match.
He was good. But you ignorant just wont accept it. Do you really think c9 just kept him for the show? Shroud had so many great games. Yeah he was never close to other pros but sure he had great talent and sometimes showed up in big moments

He is/was overrated 100%, but its still going to be really interesting and weird watching Shroud play professional Valorant.

He's one of the few people that pioneering in streaming cs:go from old times. And he's a pro player.
