I feel like watching VCT esp in EMEA, the skill level is just not the same as it used to be. Like sure teams liek FPX arent doing as well as they were before, and M3C are in shambles but usually there are other teams that take up those spots. This time around though i feel like FPX dont even deserve to qualify but they did cause there was no better team (yes i currently think Guild are better but maybe thats just because im biased from their performance with BaddyG)
In NA sure the overall skill of teams has been increasing but still no team reaches the peaks that EMEA hit in stage 1 and DRX hit in the match against Optic. I feel like Optic have been doing decently but i cant say theyve dropped in skill cause they just always step it up in LAN so ill reserve judgement.
The other regions have also increased but again I see no one reaching the peaks that EMEA hit with the trifecta of M3C, FPX, and FNC peaks (other than Optic in the finals and DRX match)
Has the skill level dropped from Masters 1?
The whole idea of people calling "one team regions" is that these regions only have one good team . To say Japan have more than one is not true as if you see their track record they never performed well up until this masters. Even previously their only representative was CR which like I said did not do well in masters and champions. Maybe we could say that if NTH performed in this master. But we will have to see.

I could be wrong but im pretty sure basically every emea team from the top 10-15 were on bootcamp, scims hours of any other team they have the biggest, they come up with new things and they try to play the game the way it should be played instead of putting 5 good aimers on the team
Its actually insane even with the war n shit they still win masters 2 and Champions, AGAIN
I dont think its just work ethic tho cause i feel like JP has had great work ethic for a long time but theyre just shit at the game yknow? It just feels like EMEA is uncontested when it comes to creating unbelievably complex and in depth strategies and plays that even Optic at thier peek didnt match (tho optic id say were still good enough without them to contest for the win)
not just the synergy was off but mental is huge. The team playing in the biggest tourney of the quarter and they cant even use half the shit theyve been prepping for months. They couldve been subbed by players that were the best in the world and it still wouldnt change anything they probably wouldve still gotten 0-2ed
