Why is USA so dominant in sports. Like in the Olympics, those are not even USAs main sports but they still dominate. Most medals by far with china in second but that’s only because of pure population. I guess USAs genetics r just that much better
USA does not have one dominant sport like most other countries (soccer), so the US diversifies where the top athletes play and end up with strong athletes in many categories. Additionally, there is a lot of money behind sports and sport success, which allows athletes to be full-time in their niche sports for many sports that can only be hobbies in most other nations.
Lmfao wtf. Im not even going to reply to the racist part, but let me give you a example. Levon aronian top 10 itw just a while back shifted to the US from Armenia, he was lured there by Rex Siquenfield (owner of a big chess club) because of good opportunities, just like many other good players. Fabiano caruana probably 2nd/3rd in the world used to play for Italy, Leiner Dominguez (from cuba) moved to US when he was 35 yrs old. Wesley So used to play for Phillipines. So out of the 6 top 20 itw players of US chess team, only 2 came from US junior circuit (Hikaru and Fabi) and Fabi developed his chess in Italy not US. These things are very well known and accepted by everyone in chess community. Dont make stupid accusations if you dont know what the other person is talking about
The US high-school/collegiate sports system is pretty big and well-funded, which helps create the notion that sports is a very viable and achievable career compared to other countries, and I believe it was Eisenhower (and JFK who built upon it) who also rolled out a fitness policy for American citizens, urging them to be more fit and healthy.
