Is Franchising the right option for VALORANT?

Do you guys think Franchising will be good for competition in VALORANT? Every two weeks there's a new top team, at least in NA and EMEA is also highly contested, so with the finite numbers of teams that will be part of this new league, will this system not just exclude many talents and reduce the amount and quality of competition, thus worsening the sport?

I'd love for people to write what they think about franchising below this thread, thanks!

bad for the sport, good for profit
riot will make shit tons of money but it will kill competitiveness and the sporting part of valorant and make it kinda of a show like nba and american sport leagues, open circuits are better for competitiveness like european football leagues

bad for esports scene, riot loses money short term but makes money some long term but less than if they just kept doing what they are doing but improve on it to be better and allow more 3rd party tourneys throughout year to create more storylines which makes international tourneys better
