They're so far ahead of other teams in their regions dont you think? I thought guard was gonna be good but they didn't achieve anything at all. I hope next masters NA and EU are fully back. I support the whole APAC region first and foremost but NA is where the fun is at.

Optic isn’t always consistent. Look at optic vs rise and optic vs Xerxia. But when it matters they step up.

Idk about that. People are doubting The Guard because they got blown out by Paper Rex, but that was was a terrible matchup for them. The Guard probably was the team with the closest loss to Optic (I know Optic lost to Loud and Xerxia, but The Guard was very formidable is my point. The problem is The Guard is very structured. Relying on set plays and baiting utility to win games. Paper Rex does not play into that, and they honestly played far more loose than the Guard. This led to a perfect storm for the Guard to get rolled.

Where Optic succeeds where most of NA, and most teams in the world, Optic knows how to balance structure and chaos.

EU will my brotha FPX looks good, GMB is always scary at times and G2 can do some more homework. FNC will get a comfort roster and be back.

Tbh if NA and EU weren't the 2 best regions, that would be embarrassing. Huge populations and competition in own regions fair play to the others that beat G2 and pushed Optic.

I don’t think they are that far ahead at all, C9 V1 and The Guard are all close. New SEN could be up there as well.

Except maybe APAC including KR and JP because those regions are really close in terms of level of play. I'd argue they're at the same level as NA, EU, or other regions. There are just that one team from each region that stands out :)

No terrible thread. Guard was neck and neck with optic throughout NA qualies however they didn't show up in first 2 international games. C9 imo would have routed all of these teams, possibly could have struggled with loud but would be an all NA final most likely. Rest of NA is a step below atm maybe V1 could have done damage but they looked weak when the big games happened.

It’s understandable if you don’t watch the regional matches but NA is SUPER competitive among the top 8 teams.

The teams lose to each other all the time. The guard is probably a bit inflated because of 1 great tournament, but you could easily argue that c9 is the best team in NA and they didn’t even place top 3 in NA.

DRX went on like a 60 game winstreak in their region. Optic is nowhere close to doing something like that
