There should be 16 slots and these are my thoughts Of course you can disagree with my opinion!

as of right now there are 3 Asian teams in playoffs (PRX DRX ZETA), 1 EMEA team (G2), 1 BR team (LOUD), and 1 NA team (OpTic).
However, I think EMEA still deserves its 4 slots because FPX couldn't make it & the asterisk with FNATIC. And Liquid topped their group.
NA 3 slots is fair too as I think OpTic are doing pretty well.
KR deserves 1 more slot (alternatively could be a KR/JP qualifier) due to DRX.
JP keeps their slot because ZETA DIVISION run is good but they did get knocked into lowers and because this is the first time they got out of groups. Alternatively they get another slot thru KR/JP qualifier.
APAC gets 2 LCQ slots because we can see how well they did at Champs and can assume the growth in the region is really good + JP and KR are also in playoffs, so APAC as a whole is looking stacked (remember APAC LCQ is KR JP SEA SA and OCE).
BR/LATAM get 1 slot removed because NiP and KRÜ got grouped (but keep their LCQ slot)

Good format but at this point just give 3 direct APAC slots and only one with LCQ, since I think the point of LCQ should be one last chance for a single team who wins

that's fair but I added 2 to LCQ because APAC is such a huge region with lots of subregions, if I gave 1 slot to APAC it would just be giving a slot to SEA + SA + OCE and KR/JP teams would miss out imo. I guess the compromise would be to split APAC LCQ into North and South then but you run into risks where the best representatives might not be sent (e.g. APAC south becomes a weak region, then KR/JP, despite being the stronger APAC region, can only send 1). By keeping 2 slots from APAC LCQ you can guarantee the strongest reps from that region are sent to Champs. That's my reasoning anyway.

In fact, that's a reason why Japan is (or it's gonna be) a stronger region than Korea. Organizations in Korea are not investing in Valorant, while japanese orgs and fanbase are huge. Korean players are better than japanese players, but if they play in Japan then the strongest region is Japan.

You have a point but historically Japan's best players were their Korean imports and KR, despite leaking players, has still achieved more than JP has. We will have to see though.

Totally delusional, archetype
"NiP got grouped", yeah, Xerxia too, so remove this slot. and Paper Rex is on lower, and LOUD no (at this moment)
You just want BR/LATAM in the same qualifier, totally delusional, and making a probably LATAM or BR without teams in masters or champions
And champions it is past, if wasn't, you don't remove LATAM slot, they was top 4, remember? :)

NiP got grouped and so did Xerxia, but Xerxia played closer games between the top 2 seeds of that group compared to NiP and KRÜ, so no, I don't think it's delusional. And Paper Rex knocked out NA's 1st seed 2-0. LOUD have potential and they were the sole reason I edited my original distribution a number of times.
Actually, I edited the slot distribution a number of times because I wasn't sure whether to take slots from BR/LATAM or from other regions, but with NiP winning BR/LATAM qualifiers and getting grouped, and with KRÜ also getting grouped (the latter did not win a single map) I think it was fair to give Asia more slots than BR/LATAM. Please don't call me delusional because I did not pander to your South American narrative.

1 Brazil, 1 latam, 2 south American lcq.
1 korea, 1 Japan, 2 sea. Lcq will be split into south and north. North is Korea and Japan and possibly China if they can play. South is sa, sea, and oce. Each with one slot.

“Played closer games”
Bro nip vs zeta was just as close as XIA vs Liquid
Besides, Zeta, the second seed of the group owned liquid, the first seed of group B
And DRX about to own Optic lezzzzgoooo
Chovymaker [#7]3/16 is good for NA
I think also OPTC is doing well right now
What exactly tells you that?
Lost to XERXIA
Beat the worst team of the tournament
Managed to beat XERXIA the second time around
Was pretty evenly matched with TGRD, which you know, got owned by PRX

lorenzopajaroFC [#39]No fricking way NA and Br are getting the same amount of slots as EMEA
I know right, I support NA, but I think emea should have an extra slot just because of the size of it. I usually consider size and population more than competitiveness, and 3 slots is not enough for cis, eu, and tr combined

The two teams who NiP lost = top 6 in the event
Xerxia lost to Liquid (eliminated for the team who eliminated NiP), and Optic (ok, top 6)
Theorically, NiP had a bracket with more difficulty
so yes, you are delusional
NiP lost in OT to Zeta, so "closer games" don't work here.

there is no way to have a br/latam qualifier, because of the linguistic difference. an lcq works, but not an entire qualifier
