stupid people on reddit claiming this

  • one region so excited to finally get a win and will get 6th place

  • one region has won the last two LAN tournaments

flukes dont mean all regions are equal clowns

Tbh its cool seeing minor regions do well but if every region is beating each other it means theres no skill gap due to low skill ceiling

low skill ceiling is bad and riot sucks for it, also making teams play very few games at LAN

Your point may have some merit in the past, but there are no minor regions right now. The top six literally has every region (Except latam unfortunately)

As of this meta, there are no minor regions

or maybe different regions have reached the same skill ceiling?

not saying its impossible but

extremely rare in almost every esport that exists with high skill ceiling games, theres always 1-3 regions that perform consistently well above other regions

the reason these so called minor regions do well is because we actually play the game, unlike csgo.

you act as if there aren't insanely crack players and teams in all regions. The difference with valorant and Cs is every region actually invest in the scene especially Asia and its competitive. That's why you seeing regions becoming extremely good. In cs its pretty much dead outside of EU. All the teams DRX, ZETA (laz, crow), and PRX they have core players that were once on csgo teams and they switch over to valorant to find success.

Yes it happens because either the scene just don't have the infrastructure or the country/region just isn't that interested in the esports. Valorant so far has been pretty much on a global scale have moderate to high interest. I really wish korea would be more interested though but it seem like they're just more interested in league/overwatch. Most of the other regions that has any tactical fps scene or ex-csgo scene have switched over to valorant.

every region is interested but there will always be ones which got more interest than others

regions will never have equal playerbase / funding / / opportunity i wish they did but realistically they wont

They won't and regions lose more interests when they see their top teams lose all the time imo. Gaming as a career is already super hard in regions like South East Asian, Latam, Brazil i think from lack of infrastructure and support.

I mention cs cause its the closest thing to valorant as a tactical fps. Regional strength correlates with how much funding and support they get as well as if the region player base is interested in the game. There are talents all over the world. Its just in some of these countries gaming isn't seen as a viable career options at all.

good talk i respect your opinion but disagree

its half truth half baiting when i say low skill ceiling anyway

i mainly just think riot needs to stop changing the meta before major events

And it's fking hard when it comes to ability usage in valorant every agent has different abilities and both team are going to have different strats it's more about using your brain and not just your aim , and if u think valorant is so ez just watch shroud's opinion on csgo vs valorant

Doesn't Brazil only have one team left in the competition with the same exact slots as NA? Or am I missing something here?

Ah yes, the first seed with one player who has LAN experience from Overwatch. Compared to a brazilian super team. And when the fuck did I ever say that Paper Rex had no skill? You're putting words in my mouth.

where fnatic and liquid

fnatic working with two subs and without their star player, and liquid never even earned their way into the tournament in the first place so your point isn't valid

Dude, are you so fucking delusional that you're comparing the best team in EMEA for the past year and a half to a team that started 3-4 months ago and qualified in NA? There is no actual way you're this braindead.

Not gonna respond past this point because it's a waste of time.

yeah well guard is best team NA (or was) so nothing wrong with comparing them to gambit right? Or are u saying you cant compare them because NA is a minor region? thats crazy because thats what i said in #9

they're still the emea representatives and the only thing we can base our predictions of... the reality is that other regions are catching up, and calling them "flukes" when JP eliminated 2/3 of the region is either delusional or just insincere.
