They should be qualified for next Masters automatically anotherwise all the efforts was for nothing and it's also Riots fault for not doing something to prevent this like changing the Location.

Mortadelo [#6]Go ask Putin my friend
First of all you don’t even know if all this will be solved by next masters, second of all they might have disbanded by then or be shit or something. And third is not like if it was in other places they could go anyway
exactly this, who knows what'll happen by next masters, everything could change (cough cough hey sentineLs) but they still deserve something
avery [#7]exactly this, who knows what'll happen by next masters, everything could change (cough cough hey sentineLs) but they still deserve something
Yeah, but ofc they deserve something, all I’m saying is not Riot’s fault, can’t claim justice for it
Ryan9500 [#5]FPX should get the prize pool and circuit points of an 8th place finish because in theory thats the absolute lowest they could place (assuming its a bracket with play-ins like iceland last year)
These options included extending the roster lock window, relaxing emergency substitute rules, and liaising with the relevant government officials to secure visas and travel permissions. Unfortunately, and through no fault of their own, FunPlus Phoenix will not be able to field a complete roster in Reykjavik. While we want to be as accommodating as possible, there is a need to ensure a minimum level of roster continuity out of fairness to all participants in the competition. We want to congratulate the team on a strong performance and will be evaluating how to recognize their achievement with VCT points and a portion of the prize pool.
In light of this development, Team Liquid will be invited to participate at Masters Reykjavik as representatives of the EMEA region. This will ensure that all three EMEA slots are occupied by teams from the region.
bro its not riot'faults what riot can do about the war and refusing rusisan citizen to travel like riot has nothing to do with it and about fpx situation its fair to place them in playoffs in chall for next master but insta qual is fkin unfair for all the teams and as i can see ur a fpx fan so stop bullshiting around it is what it is

Changing place can help, because a lot countries where Russians can arrive (Turkey for example)
And I agree that all this does not will be solved until next masters (And sanctions will not be lifted until 2023 minimum imo)

we are not refusing travel...
we are not allowed by some other countries regardless of our political position

y thats what i meant sry for my english so the problem is not about rito's decision its about what is happening between russia and ukraine
WelcomeWardy [#17]FPX could get a spot for next challengers directly without going through open circuit etc and maybe give them 250 circuit points perhaps?
No
WelcomeWardy [#18]honestly russia knew all this going in and it really isn't riot fault, i bet they did try to find a way to bring fpx in. Now that fpx cant play in masters braveaf also cant so ye :'(
Even at least 50% russians doesn't know all this going in honestly. Players? I guess knows. Fans? I don't think that the most knows.
seankukuz [#20]why cant they just let FPX go to masters 2? Just like how team secret couldnt go to masters berlin and went to champions. ALSO I realized them not going to masters berlin was for the better cause they received the champions bundle paycheck
team secret didnt go to champions because they couldnt attend masters. team secret qualified over paper rex because they had the same circuit points + team secret was first SEA seed

TS is qualified to champions because they have the second highest circuit points in APAC. whether they attend masters 2 or not they are still qualified to champions.
avery [#3]i dont think it'll be fair to other teams to insta qual them to the next masters, but starting them in semis/quarters of the playoffs to qualify would probably work
I wouldnt do that, especially because imagine all the teams going at it for a month or so, the you come with no practice, no nothing and get literally shredded.
Mortadelo [#19]No
They will probs getting invited to the emea playoffs again tho, thats how Riot works, invite the top team for the next qualifiers.

Oh true, I misunderstood

3/6 can travel to Iceland. Ange1, Shao and suygetsu can't but others can, 3/5 will be the same players as the Challengers roster, what else is needed?

Ardiis cannot play due to recently testing positive for covid

i mean not the people, im talking about the president and his members? they should've seen consequences for this actions, no country wouldn't see ahead without doing anything right?

I would want to answer you and explain situation, but I can't because "no politics" rule, sorry

I mean they can still prac and probably will be practicing during Reykjavik
Flumplestiltski [#37]I mean they can still prac and probably will be practicing during Reykjavik
Yeah, but officials is different, like how all of the invited teams in Emea closed 1 lost their first matches
