It's time for SEN fans to accept that SEN fell off hard. They're literally struggling against teams like knights and NRG. V1, Xset, C9, Guard will all slap sentinels hard.
Let's talk about Iceland when it's almost a year since the event. Let's look at the present. Shahzam is obviously a top 5 Sova player in the world now. Tenz, on the other hand seems comfortable with Jett at the moment than any other duelist. What if this is not their final composition? What if they are trying out different things? Give them a break man, Shahz knows what he is doing more than you.
I think it's better they play on their strengths than give everyone their comfortable picks.
Im not even a fan of sen but there is my point:
Even without praccs they are still winning matches and its enough. Also winning after a long pause from last official really hard. Try to remember eu quals: every qualifed team came from opens and also every opening match won by team from open quals. Or even fact that champions finalists already lost in their second game.
Sen just dont care about group stage ig, but after group they gonna wake up. If not - than it means they really fell off and its the end for first int lan winners.
I completely agree, I think they do practice and apparently it isnt as much as other teams do, but they really are getting work done and they really do close out the games. SEN has always made the score line close against every team they face its completely normal but now for some reason its getting pointed out as somethign that shows that theyve fallen off? Since the beginning of their days in valorant this has always been the case.
The whole topic is about sen still looking ok and people overreacting when sen just loosing map. Realistically its hard to play after long period without officials, probably one of reasons why best NA team result was by C9(played LCQ).
Champions winners Acend played before champions Red Bull finals and LVP final on LAN.
For example Optic lost their first official game after ~3months since last, but SEN still didnt. C9 playing some tournaments to save form for VCT officials and NRG pushed them on full bo3
ok first of all thats because it really is true, you can watch all the group stages so far and they really dont try. even in closed if they havent fallen to the losers bracket or gotten to the quarters theyll be trolling. Then aafter they fall into lowers they jsut start mowing down their opposition.
Did yall see C9 v NRG? Calling NRG a bad team is a disrespect to them and to the teams that faced NRG, they are a genuinely good team and theyre getting better by the day, watch them today against OpTic and we'll see how 'bad' SEN really is. Also the knights was destroyed by V1 but not because theyre a bad team but instead because V1 right now, in my opinion is undoubtedly contesting the top spots of the world. They are mowing down everyone with 0 effort. I feel like right now if hypothetically there was V1 vs Acend or Gambit, V1 would most likely win.
SEN hasnt played any matches in absolute ages so it makes sense that theyre going to have a slow start to the season
Dont underestimate Gambit so much. They are really preparing af for every team, imo V1 still didnt played vs team that can use antistrat against them and know all about their defaults.
Thats exactly why VS team with discipline and so many defaults were fucked by Gambit for example (while won against Acend)
Gambit legit just threw against FPX like they threw against Acend in the finals. Acend also just lost to Guild quite handedly since theyre back to being Cned and friends. Also id say that V1 completely destroying RISE is quite telling of how insane they are right now. Rise is a really good team, potentially on par with C9 on a good day and V1 literally dismantled them.
Yup I agree with everything which has been said about SEN in this forum. SEN is a Tier 3 team now who are about to lose their remaining matches, not make out of groups and definitely not make it to Masters. It would a miracle if they make it to a Masters event and even if they do, the world would definitely end if they win against a single team.
yea honestly even if they do win masters if they somehow got there theyre still a tier 3 team and they were just lucky in actually winning the event. SEN almost losing to tier 2 teams is already practically a loss and theyve really fallen off, before iceland they even lost to BBG showing how all alongg they were just a lucky tier 3 team that wsa able to somehow win iceland through sheer luck
