Look.
In Brazil the casters and some riot video talking about the next VCT confirmmed two slots for Brazil but the manager of riot latam said that the global riot is yet to decided it..aparently they will do whole year analysis to decide this (all acording to this latam's manager) and will be based on viewrrship and perfomance.
I won't be surprised if they change everything to the next year.
To be honest the only one time that valorant latam (in their own channel) had high viewers were after kru beat Sentinels...their viewership tends to be 2-4k at most and 6k in the finals.
Giannero [#2]Kind of makes sense, KRU is really good just, but that's it
yeah but 2 wouldce still been necessarty imo, Latam has a good fanbase and a bunch of good teams

I disagree with the viewership, that is because the Spanish casters are way better, but a very high % of the people who watches them is from LATAM.
During the GMB vs KRU game the streams in Spanish had a peak of viewers of 421k while the English one had a peak of 406k. And I can guarantee you that at least 50% of that is LATAM people
Mbappe [#4]LATAM lost in the LCQ with Brazil, so what's the point giving them more slots. They just don't have enough teams to be competitive
the point is the same as when in Iceland Nuturn made top4 then KR had 2 spots in master3 for VS and F4Q that made a decent tournament
MilanTheMyth [#7]I don't see why there shouldn't be 2 slots for LATAM,
wELL tHeY 1 teAM rEGioN, lOSt to bRaZIl.
ofcorse it will be a 1 team region if they only get 1 slot and other regions get 2 or more.
In turn, Australs had won the first match against Furia, only choking the final, besides that it was the only LAS team and the difference between LAS > LAN is noticeable, at least that time for the LCQ there will be the same number of LAN and LAS teams
Of course, it is 1 region team if it was the only region that had 1 direct place for international tournaments, even JP had 2 direct places for masters3, people forget that Krü did not do very well the first time he went to international, but gained experience to improve when playing against T1 teams, now it is above the entire region, so 2 places are necessary, because more teams have that possibility and can gain experience to grow and reach the Krü level
Carthage_Er_Pola [#8]Just merge LATAM and BR. problems solved
I dunno why people desliked you but i agree..emerge latam and br (even kru coaches wanted it) and problem solved.
The problem is:
Brazil has much more money to invest and it could be bad for latam orgs.
s1nek [#12]the point is the same as when in Iceland Nuturn made top4 then KR had 2 spots in master3 for VS and F4Q that made a decent tournament
Why Japan had 2 slots in masters 2? I don’t think it’s about performance
(Edit: masters 3*)
junior [#16]Why Japan had 2 slots in masters 2? I don’t think it’s about performance

Because slots were determined before VCT started, how would they know that JP sucks
PrTsty [#17]Because slots were determined before VCT started, how would they know that JP sucks
That’s the point. It wasn’t about performance

You could split it up like EMEA so that BR and LATAM each have their own qualifying slots like TR/CIS/EU before they all compete for the 3(?) slots they would collectively have for International Tournaments.
Giannero [#2]Kind of makes sense, KRU is really good just, but that's it
wont change much... Champions was a fluke ... They wont even qualify for playoffs next masters , mark my words.
haters downfrag as much as u can....but deep inside all know its the truth KEKW .. Both SEN and Fnatic will 13-0 them next time they face off.
RIOT should give guaranteed slots to NA and EU only (5 each) and 2 spots for playoffs between the rest of the insignificant minor regions.

5 SLOTS FOR NA LMAOOOOOOOOO
KyLZi [#21]2 BR and 2 LATAM makes a lot of sense to me. But don't they play for that in the south America LCQ?
Yes.
But it only happens for Champions (should it happen for masters too? )
But 2 slots for latam and br would be cool it give these regions the chance go get more experience and grow from it.
s1nek [#13]In turn, Australs had won the first match against Furia, only choking the final, besides that it was the only LAS team and the difference between LAS > LAN is noticeable, at least that time for the LCQ there will be the same number of LAN and LAS teams
aplicando tu teoria, fue Furia el que chokeo en la fase de grupos y no fue Australs el que chokeo en la final. Te basas en suposiciones, remítete a los hechos

Facts. In one team regions the top team really suffocates the other teams in that region. They can keep practicing against better competition while the rest of the region is left behind. KR and Latam both need at least 2 spots each if riot wants the those regions to grow.
AladdinINSANE [#24]Yes.

Ideally Id say every region should have at least 2 spots for international play. I know its not realistic but at least LATAM and KR deserve 2 spots. With how good their top teams are there wont be another team from those regions for a long time if they stay 1 team regions.

Look who is speaking... Guy from the region that can't make out of groups.
zephyr_nah [#29]Look who is speaking... Guy from the region that can't make out of groups.
yeah, but at least I'm not ridiculous asking for 5 slots when my region was trash the last Champions

chokeo JAKSDJASKD escribi en portugues burro
to anyone saying they only deserve 1 slot because they only have 1 good team, you could say the same about korea but we've seen glimpses of shine from f4q which would've never happened if they hadn't had the oppurtunity to go to berlin alongside vision strikers.
latam has potential just like every other region but since the only team we've seen from them internationally is kru, they haven't been given a real oppurtunity to put their names out there

One of the most brain-dead post I have read on vlr
Carthage_Er_Pola [#8]Just merge LATAM and BR. problems solved
Probably seperate LAS and LAN and put LAN into NA.

Many of LATAM fans loves to see the Spanish casters (LVPes2) over the latam casters. IDK it´s like the latam caster are okey, but the spanish casters are gods. The spanish casters give more passion, more emotions, more of all, it´s like a football casters. Also sometimes the latams caster are rush into the rounds, ending when there is still time.
Look

I´m not want to be bad with the latam casters, they´re cool, but the spanish casters are so supreme in the comparations. And it´s the same situation if some latam team play, the spanish caster give more passion and more like support in the rounds, while the latam casters casting okey, but sometime in the clutch moments or something they take the round finished when the round have more time and everythin can happen.
junior [#19]That’s the point. It wasn’t about performance
Yeah but with only one slot the region cant really show how good they actually are. U need some data to make a fair slot-distribution
zephyr_nah [#29]Look who is speaking... Guy from the region that can't make out of groups.
"guy from the region who can't get out of groups" says the guy who roots for a team that made ut only to 1 lan and a region who just went 0-4 against EU and 2-2 with the "insignificant regions" lmao
PrTsty [#38]Yeah but with only one slot the region cant really show how good they actually are. U need some data to make a fair slot-distribution
Yeah they definitely deserve 2 slots

Yeah but the spanish casters also stream the latam vct?
AladdinINSANE [#43]Yeah but the spanish casters also stream the latam vct?
no, in the case of vct (despite masters and champs) they stream europe vct.
cheaterr [#41]merge LATAM and BR. BOOM
problem solved
While I agree, the internet technology is not the same between SA compared to EU continent. Not to mention that even if it were, they'd need to also merge ranked queue which would not work, as half would speak spanish and half portuguese, no in between.
Its not like EU that is common ground to speak english.
But, I might be wrong this last sentence as I see only a small proportion or EU streamers to base my comment on they all speak english.
