Banned from chinese valorant for "smurfing"

So I'm in china for a month and decided to play some valorant and I was banned for 1 day for smurfing in an unrated??? Is there any way to appeal this because I want them to leave a note on my account that I'm not actually smurfing but just playing in a new region so I don't keep getting banned whenever I play.
