He will take the place of Maikls "Serial" Zdanovs in the starting roster, who was recently released.

trexx returns to the VCT stage after his benching from Team Vitality saw him miss Stage 1 of EMEA. Earlier this year, he was a part of Vitality's run through Kickoff, where he found his first regional title of his career. They also had a decent run at Bangkok, placing fourth after succumbing to the two finalists. Internal issues within the team led to Vitality moving forward without trexx.

Team Liquid have had a surprisingly successful year in EMEA thus far. They have qualified to both masters events of the year, despite changing players between stages. However, at both Bangkok and Toronto, Liquid ended with the same result, going out with a 1-2 record in the Swiss stage. Looking to reach greater heights at Champions, they have opted for this change, moving Serial to the bench after just one Stage with the team.
