So PRX just won Master Toronto, RRQ won Pacific stage 1
Both are SEA teams.

Do Jake Sin still stupid enough to kill an entire T2 region of talented players from a good region just to please F'king Chaebol owned SOOP?? if not for SEA T2 scene we wouldn't got Kushy, Patmen, in Tier 1 valorant APAC right now, even BOOM esport proved that they deserved their franchised spot after BLEED got kicked out.

Fuck Jake Sin, hope you got fired.

Consipracy theory: SOOP is Korea's way to suppress SEA so they can take over APAC

this isnt a conspiracy its kinda obvious thats what theyre doing

I dont like conspiracy but it annoyed the fuck outta me when they forced an entire region of SEA people to watch on their shit platform nobody uses, but somehow their own league are streamed freely on Twitch and Youtube unlike SEA...

Alter Ego, Disguised, MiTH, its still surreal that these big orgs left the league just because of Jake Sin decision.

not everything is a conspiracy lmao, when you guys start living in reality the world starts making more sense. Its just about saving money for RIOT. SOOP said they ll pay for all the costs and even have a venue in korea. Same thing would happen if SEA organizer said they ll pay for everything.

obviously i dont believe that. That's why i specifically said "conspiracy theory". I'm mad at the way things are going in SEA tier 2 so im just shit talking here.

Then why the ascensions are still in SEA? not in Korea? They will provide venue right?

im talking about soop already has a presence in val scene. They already have off season tournament for last 2 years now. When will SEA organizer put in money like them? You let me know, but until then soop will be higher priority for RIOT since they already invest money in the scene

they only use their platform to broadcast VCL SEA games. that's it.
and a lot of SEA organizers did offseason tourneys in the past, whether it's livestreamed or not. u just don't care about them.
and then the damn audacity to not using THEIR VENUE for Pacific ascensions?

So why they didnt offer riot to run entire tier 2 and cover operating costs? Because thats the only reason soop got the deal lmao. I mean its clearly not ideal for sea tier 2 but pretty sure soop is paying for everything. But tbh the op is probably lowkey correct about soop being a chaebol and having connections. But I doubt there is any agenda to suppress tier 2 sea scene

Because jake sin stated riot want the region to be merged to cut the operating cost and "competitive reason". I think this happened waaaayyy before any EO from any SEA (esp indo th and vn) countries even had the chance to talk to riot, i believe. They just heard the rumor of SEA getting merged as one region but didnt know itd be an exclusive deal with s00p.

yea i mean soop probably did get the deal before others since they said they ll pay for it. RIOT probably didnt even think twice before accepting it. Either way, SEA should still be fine, soop deal isnt forever, and viewership might have decreased, but the whole point of academy teams is to find the right talent and nurture them into tier 1. As long as SEA academy does that well they ll be fine in tier 1.

and viewership might have decreased,

Might have decreased??? its gone bro.. just tune in into their stream on SOOP, They barely reach 300!!

ID viewer alone on the past hover on 2000-3000 during uninteresting matches.. but if its BOOM vs AE vs Bigetron it could easily reach 10k.. and finals could reach as high as 30k.. THAT"S INDONESIA ALONE..
and i didnt even include watchparties streamer/youtuber.

but the whole point of academy teams is to find the right talent and nurture them into tier 1. As long as SEA academy does that well they ll be fine in tier 1.

Say that again after RRQ Splash decided to retire from the entire val and RRQ academy scene because he does not see any potential future career in val with how "Shit" the SEA challengers currently. Bro probably the most upcoming young talent from ID.

Ima just sum it up for yall so u can understand better.

  1. Riot aint give two fucks about tier 2 scene.
  2. Koreans dont give a fuck about sea enough to “suppress” their scene
  3. Riot will do anything to save money and they did by taking soop deal.
Orgs leaving sucks but stop throwing around low iq narratives.

Im genuinely thinking that they will cut the s00p contract next year and go back to what they have used in 2024.

#6

the contract they signed are until 2027, the same year when Riot gonna do some major re-structuring and contract renewal partnership for their franchised league.. I doubt they would change anything until then..

But atleast i want Jake Sin to be gone from riot APAC by then..

And the guy had the audacity stirring up drama during the korean scrim sharing allegation by FrosT on X's/Twitter and then just disappeared without any explanation despite FrosT saying he has been sending "evidence" of scrim sharing.

Not saying that FrosT were right because clearly there's no evidence whatsoever but J0ke s0n with his unlimited wisdom just decided to just ignore the whole drama and said nothing while people's are speculating shits left and right and the one who hurt the most were the korean pro player because of his incompetence.

I know everybody in here practically has a bone to pick regarding the treatment of SEA especially in Challengers and the dissolvement of half of the Pacific's leagues. You're angry, and I am too.

I've been debating whether or not to post this because I don't want to see myself as a 'glazer', but I feel the need to post this to share my perspective about what a few of us has been doing to bridge the communication gap between the community and SOOP.

First things first. Before Split 1, several community members have opened a dialog to the SOOP team regarding the treatment and fate of SEA. It was a lengthy talk and there was a lot of feedback, some are honestly will be hard to execute. And truthfully, the relationship has been cordial, and that's with the myriad of issues like the confusion of the relegation seedings which happened twice now in both splits.

However, I would also like to point out that the team behind the scenes have been nothing but communicative and receptive. Don't get me wrong: there's still a long ways to go. However, direct feedback and communication meant that we can attempt to raise any concern almost immediately, pending any changes.

We've also been trying to push the promotion of the National/Regional/T3 circuit with the downgrade of the subregions due to the consolidation. While some leagues have bigger TOs like Vietnam with ON Live and Thailand under Innvate, the rest of the leagues like Indonesia having a newcomer in Mineski, MY/SG with Berryfam, and Philippines with DLS meant there's currently a push for better regional representation despite the downgrade.

So, what's for the future? Do we just sit still and accept this is our reality? No. While I have used strong words regarding the treatment of the league, but I understand there's a need for a more cordial communication. Being angry works and it DOES work so far, but there's also a need of balance. There should be hopefully more changes on the horizon, and please if you guys have any concerns, lead it on me.

Thanks for reading, if not, allat.

literally the most logical solution is to revoke SOOP contract & make a deal with One Esports as SEA main organizers

how hard is it to do that j0k0 s0n
