Alright so I've seen enough of threads saying first seed is a disadvantage
Well one can choose to sit and cry or one can put their brains to work and since this site is active it's highly possible that one of us can come up with a legitimate idea of revamping the entire format

To begin with we need to think of a good alternative to the current prize of becoming a regional champion which is direct entry into playoffs; now honestly speaking this is a solid thing, direct entry into top 8 at masters is quite nice. But as we can see clearly there is something wrong :-

One of the big things with getting into playoffs instantly is to not reveal comps and setups, this would ruin it

yea I understand, I discussed that teams might not be that motivated to try just to get that first-pick. but I mean the coaches were complaining about being “cold” and not having the momentum etc, so how much they want to reveal during this 1st seeds round-robin would be entirely up to them, since at least this on paper allows them to be “warmed” up, so no more excuses.

can’t just complain about being cold, and also don’t want to reveal anything.

And I agree with you except that riot will never spend on pointless matches, why are we acting like first seed is garbage it's literally a free top 8 and you're pretty much the best in your region (take the case of g2 and fnc here; I'm aware of YOU xlg situation and rrq was never convincing to me)

you could perhaps do 4 different group stages where first seed plays the loser of a 2nd and third seed who play again. same format as what we saw with the 11 teams in kickoff.
