Wtf happened to them? Yeah the were kind of fucked by G2 but i didn't expect it to be that impactful, i thought Heretics will buy other well known players.
The song Little Dark Age fits them perfectly, the good times in Masters 1 and now the bad times.

The Heretics owner complained about G2 poaching Nukkye and Avova btw, they tried to rebuild with the leftovers but it just didn’t work. At least now it looks like they have realized in time and they are rebuilding for next year, even tho they could have started after this tournament tho.

I thought that there was an argument between the g2 players (that used to play for heretics) and the coach and igl, so the team broke up. Was that not the case?

The sides were a bit different IIRC, it was tanizhq(had support from nukkye and avova) vs lowell. From heretics owner perspective, I guess they thought that they could salvage the situation by finding a new coach or bridging the gap between tanizhq and lowell, there were also probably considerations of dropping rubino. Meanwhile, nukkye and avova received offers from g2 and they obviously saw the situation for what it was and simply yeeted themselves out of the sinking ship. For heretics org, this g2 interference probably came at the most inconvenient time possible and hence that's why they claim that nukkye and avova got poached.

Basically what Glycoroldas said, there were problems, but G2 contacted the made them the offer before talking to the org which is still poaching, and ilegal in Lol for example
