Biased Riot

With the recent drama going on and the important topic of scrims coming up, it's been a very long time Riot haven't changed bases of the VCT Americas, EMEA, Pacific and they are just confined to LA, Seoul, Berlin

Which is actually benefiting the local teams since they get better scrims, they develop themselves more.

Well I can clearly see why regions like LATAM, South Asia, some parts of Europe are struggling to even get some hold over this competition.

Well Riot just wants to save their operation cost and wanna be a lazy ass to not move their bases and grow their favourite regions.

If this actually goes on it'll actually become like Rich are getting richer, poor are getting poorer

EMEA being in Berlin isn't a particularly big issue right now for a number of reasons but LA and Seoul are absolutely a problem. I don't see the US and Korea bias leaving though. Because money. Still bullshit and they should use more fair, centralized locations. But I doubt they care.

lowkey for Americas and pacific they should alternate between a set location every year (korea and SEA for pac, na and sa for amer)

ex:
pacific 2025 will be held in seoul, so means 2026 should be held in a SEA country like example singapore

Champs LA was actually not held in the little room with lawn chairs that the americas league is held in. If you want to criticize masters and champs locations fine by me, but the post is about cxhanging the regional bases lmfao.

Jake Sin and Leo Faria have mentioned about the difficulties of moving bases (Work Permit/VISA for players AND production staff, yes finance is one of them, establishing team home base and local bank account complication) to another location. They mention the idea of doing road tour is a better solution than completely moving home base location. Stage 2 CN 2024 final was held in Changsha and upcoming 2025 Pacific Stage 2 Finals will be in Tokyo.

Changing home base would require to be on each new partnership era. 2023/2027/2031.

A LOT of logistic issues and other visa issues are also main reasons they cant simply move to another country. I think Pacific might move to Japan next year though. Since stage 2 Grandfinal is happening in Tokyo

There are quite a few challenges, especially with logistics and visas, that make relocating to another country pretty complicated for them. That said, there's a good chance Pacific could head to Japan next year, especially with the Stage 2 Grand Final set to take place in Tokyo.
