im not an insane player or anything but i can smoke properly dart properly place trips down and run in so i dont really care if i get autofilled
feel like if i just instalock (any role) someone ends up playing an agent they absolutely suck ass at (or just picks someone like chamber/clove and can’t aim)

My opinion is that if you want to climb, you have to put YOURSELF above others. When ranking up you're the only common factor that will continue to win games and rank up, so you should put YOURSELF in the best possible situation to carry your games. Teammates are unpredictable, so let them do what they want. Pick yourself 1-2 agents of a similar playstyle and master it until you find your win condition
my best winrates in soloq are when I stick to one or two really good agents, for example rn im abusing tf outta iso and yoru and owning and when skye was op I abused her and owned in ranked
from experience filling and flexing is def not the way to go, flash duelists are very op, u have the most impact on ur games when ur playing duelist
I try to fill and tend to do mostly consistently do good but it does mean you have to learn a lot more to consistently be good on every role than you would just one. It helps a lot to have agents that are somewhat universally usable and check multiple util boxes like Yoru. Especially when everyone wants to play Reyna even when they're not a smurf (read: trolling).

And you also forget about the times you filled for someone who instalocked a duelist and that said duelist ended up going 3/15?
yeah but that guy would be equally worthless on other roles except he would also refuse to smoke or drone
so it’s arguably better for me that he’s ass on duelist

yea i’ve played since beta so im comfortable on pretty much everything except flash initiator because that shit sucks ass

try locking in like a support role, but just master it. In order to rank up you need to be a master of one role, not the jack of all trades. Just commit to playing one role, ace it, perfect it, and become heads and shoulders the best senti/smokes/any other position on your rank. You basically say to your team ''Look, I KNOW I will do my job, and I will do it perfectly, you 4 just need to do your part as well''. IF your team is ass? Well then you lose regardless of what you do. If your team is at least decent then having an S-tier player in one role already makes it way easier to win

Just takes some understanding of the game, the suppress and ult make him really advantageous(if you can aim)

He's excellent everywhere before the point people learn to actually use meaningful util and still good past that point but I tend to find Yoru better past that point outside of maybe Icebox. Iso is MUCH easier to use though.

You need at least 1k hours to learn yoru, iso is very easy compared to yoru.
