Why does riot hate true stretched resolution ( bringing this up after the coertzia no practice drama where his game before 100t since he uses that res , he wasn't able to practice with the true stretched res he said he had to put the device manager password which only riot had and they refused to give him ) but I also was asking like what's the difference with this resolution in comparison to others ? I don't play valo so idk, even tenz mentioned something about this.

It's pretty much optics. Game looks less appealing to viewers on a stretched resolution than native. At least that's the reasoning Tenz has mentioned. The device manager thing I am more confident was security measures, although super unlikely, but better safe than sorry if your Riot.

thats a riot issue for still not using observer POV, in cs everyone uses stretched but in pro games all the POVs are in native...

Observers are in native, nobody cares if the replay is streched or not, let's not pretend like streched makes the game ugly

Idk but it's completely dumb, I am aware that theorically true stretched doesn't make you good or bad, but it still is a big comfort setting. It also makes a huge difference for CS players

Tbf this situation is kinda shit but coertzia is 100% also at fault here no way he could not come up with any other way of practising and just felt like blaming someone else

He just said it the wrong way, he didn't stare at the ceiling for 3 hours, he was just too honest with the interviewer's question and the internet doesn't forgive. Rookie mistake

riot hates anything to do with customization. i remember they once addressed true stretched saying "they dont want it to exist since it gives players an unfair advantage" which is bullshit, cause there is a trade off. targets are wider, but also faster and you have a smaller field of view.
ideally every fps game should just have a fov slider and an ability to get any res you want, but riot is riot
